Staff are friendly and welcoming as well as efficient and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious. Wine list extensive. Ambience busy but not intrusively noisy. Location great for pre show or staying at two major chain hotels.

Lovely ambiance from moment we arrived. Bright airy and attentive staff. So many choices for starter yet all of us were happy. The baby squid as starter went down a treat. I’m told the garlic and cheese bread and mussels did too. Mains of penne...pollo pasta funghi crema and calzone meatball pizza, lobster Ravioli even thick juicy steaks were ordered lol and enjoyed. Too much to mention as in large family group. Actually wished we’d succumbed to a nice red wine as would have just made this perfection for me. (My fault. … will know better next visit but it was a bit early in the day lol) Perfect for meeting up with family again and celebrating a birthday. Our 2nd visit here and will hopefully return. Prices not over the top either, which helps in this area. Was s special occasion and good food and surroundings added to this plus in a handy central location. (Parking here was only drawback and another reason for no red wine due to driving pity lol) Well done Giulianos another successful meal here. Thank you.More

Restaurant was very busy but luckily we got a walk-in table. Despite the staff being very busy, they were attentive, food was swift, hot and good quality

Visited here with my wife and 8 month old didn't have a reservation but were seated in a great seat we were made to feel welcome from the minute we crossed the door. The staff were amazing took time to acknowledge our little boy and...by speaking to us the meal itself was delicious I will definitely be taking my family back here 😊More

Booked table in advance for myself and my daughters during our overnight stay in Edinburgh. Arrived twenty minutes early and asked if we could have a table earlier. Greeted by an elderly gentleman who I believe may be the owner who looked over his spectacles,...grunted abs then asked if we wanted to be seated in the takeaway area or the dining area - eh the dining area pls. Never asked name etc or referenced booking. Took us to a table to the back of beyond almost isolated from rest of diners and walked away. Following that had several different waiters take our drink/food orders albeit waited a while for drinks etc to arrive. Food nothing great, edible - just. Onion on pizza was microwaved and then stuck on top of margarita pizza 😷. Best part of the meal was the desserts which were shop bought so that tells you a lot. Finally on leaving after waiting to pay at table for 15 minutes I eventually headed to the front desk to pay only to be asked by same elderly gentleman “is this your bill” eh no I’m paying someone else”s. Just awful from start to finish and having to put a smile on my face for the sake of my daughters. Will NEVER be back and would never recommend. Yes plenty of fab reviews but these must be the clientele going back 31 years - not for the modern pallet.More

We were seated very quickly with a nice table at the rear of the restaurant. We were also tended to within 15 minutes, asked if we were ready to order food, but had to ask the waiter for drinks as he didn’t seem to realise...that we didn’t have any. We then waited 20 minutes for the drinks, and starters, but only received one starter, and waited a further 10 minutes for the other three starters, which were mediocre at best. The main courses were ok, but the service in this place is a lot to be desired. Three floor staff in a fairly large restaurant didn’t seem to be enough, resulting in slow service. The only thing quick was the bill.More

The service was slow, unsmiling and indifferent in an otherwise empty restaurant. The chips were cold and limp and the steak was tough. These are restaurant prices for cafe-quality food. My recommendation is to go eleswhere. There are too many other options available in Edinburgh...for restaurants that actually want your custom. Tired, old and feeling its age.More

Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to

even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and
art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to this. Why not give them a phone before you go? I phoned beforehand to book and they were really nice and helpful. Hope you have a lovely time.
