Honestly, I love Mexican food, my entire family does. We are kind of snobs abut our Mexican really. I haven't been super keen on Mexican food in England as it's been flavored weird or sort of flavorless really. Like, just putting hot spices make it flavorful somehow makes it Mexican. We stumbled upon Mariachi's which is right around the corner... More

Great lunch menu and very reasonable. We had the burrito/fajita for mains and that was between 2 adults and 2 children. Good service from your team Thank you!

Great food, great food & great company. The staff were really fast, friendly & efficient when our mad group of ukulele players turned up for our Christmas party.

We were in Edinburgh for a few days staying in the city centre and while looking for somewhere to eat spotted this small Mexican restaurant. I'm really glad we choose to go in and will be recommending it to anyone we know visiting, the food was excellent, the prices were good and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be... More

We visited for an evening meal and were impressed by the quality of the food and the price. The starter of chilli nachos to share was tasty ( and filling! Be warned!!) and our respective mains of chicken fajitas and enchiladas were full of flavour and generous in size. No room for pudding but we will certainly return another time,... More

Nice restaurant on a lovely quaint Street in the heart of the old town. As me and my wife entered the restaurant we were greeted and seated promptly beside a radiator. We gratefuly accepted as it was freezing outside. We ordered nachos and stuffed jalapeños to start, both outstanding. For mains I had steak fajitas... oh man! They were divine. My... More

We got the special - 2 courses for £12. I got nachos to start with loads of guacamole, other party members got the quesedillas which looked amazing. For mains I got fajitas which was really tasty. Everyone's food looked fabulous and tasted great. We got bottles of beer and a glass of sangria and the only thing for this restaurant... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
