Got greeted at the door by the most kind and energetic waiter, who guided us through all the different options on the menu. The food arrived in less than 15 minutes and was delicious. Great family-run place, would recommend!

We found this lovely family run restaurant, whilst out wandering around Edinburgh. We had fantastic traditional Bangladesh food from the "Mum & Dad" who do all of the cooking and you can see them busy beavering away in the kitchen. It is very much a...family affair and they make you feel welcome straight away. So much choice, all fresh and tasty. Thank you once again for such delicious food!More

Visited Kismot early yesterday evening (Saturday). My wife, me and our teenage daughter. Were warmly welcomed at the door and seated straight away as per our booking. Food - fantastic, flavours - fantastic, service - fantastic portions - fantastic. Couldn't fault anything. My only disappointment...was my own - we are visiting from Blackpool and didn't want to take the leftovers back to the hotel room, even though this is a service Kismot provide, in case the hotel complained. If we had, we would have had them for breakfast ! Will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Edinburgh. A welcome discovery!More

Love this place! We stumbled upon this place walking by and decided to try for dinner. True Indian dishes and service with a smile. Loved the menu with the choices of mild to spicy /hotness. Lots to choose from. Everything we had was delicious And...service portions were large.! Met mum and dad from the kitchen and son working dining room. All working so hard and extremely proud of their food (and they very well should be). Looking forward to our next time to Edinburgh when we can visit again!More

Myself and three friends came for a curry after watching the rugby. Ali made us feel right at home and gave us directions to the local shop to pickup some drinks. I had phoned ahead during the week and mentioned I'd like to try the...Kismot Killer. My three friends opted for other dishes off the menu. Everybody loved their curry, very fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. My curry was absolutely on fire! Even hotter than expected (don't make plans afterwards if your having the killer!). Unfortunately we had to rush off at the end for the train home though we had a great time it's also nice that mum and dad are in the kitchen it has a great welcoming feel about the place. I managed to finish my killer curry and got it for free. Though I have since donated my £35 it would have been to a Ukrainian charity. I look forward to returning again and enjoying something a little milder! Thanks for a great night!More

The menu is varied and is categorized with a heat index so if you want a spicy, hot curry, you get a hot curry. We have been to other places where the "hot" curry wasn't as anywhere as hot as we had wished. If you...want less spicy, it's not a problem though. We tried dishes from the medium and the hot range. So, they are true to their menu. They serve generous portions -- well seasoned dishes with complex spices. The rogan josh and the madras curry are ecellent. The naan is very good and they offer a large variety of choices The restaurant itself is very tidy and has a charming atmosphere. We appreciate that it is a family run business and the server was very kind and welcoming. It's well worth a visit.More

We decided to spend Christmas at Kismot, having been before with the family, and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely brilliant as usual, as was the service. We brought our 5 month old son along who also had a brilliant time. If you...are looking for the best curry and service in Scotland you have to try Kismot.More
