Stopped at the Balgrove Larder to visit the deli and stayed for a meal in their Steak Barn when visiting St Andrews in October . You may have to keep your jacket on (there are heaters but it was October) but the steaks and burgers are excellent - and dinner in a barn is just something a bit different and... More

Great farm shop. A real cut above the local garden centre. Great butcher counter ... Glorious for carnivors... But still great for veggies. Fab coffee. Had soup and roast beef sandwich... Excellent. Cakes to die for. My wife had smoked fish chowder ... Excellent. Staff very helpful. A great place for coffee, lunch and meet friends. Certainly worth a second,... More

The Larder is full of local produce and is worth a visit. The restaurant is small and always busy, but serves lovely wholesome Scottish produce. The quality is very good and is served by pleasant staff.

We were told of Balgrove Larder by a shop owner in Edinburgh. We stayed in rental property for Christmas Holiday and LOVED the Balgrove Larder! Visited several times. Absolutely to die for bread! Great wine and beer selection. Lovely selection of high end dressings, jam, sauces, cookies, etc.... Great selection of meat products and prepared meals! Beautiful flowers and a... More

Went here for lunch and was very impressed. There was a bit of a wait for a table as it was very busy but the staff (one lady in particular ) were really good at fitting everyone in. The service was then amazingly fast and the food lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This local local farm produce serves as a high end deli and tearoom. We had lunch. The staff were excellent and friendly. All the dishes were local produce and homemade. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed lunch with good home cooking.

Was keen to try the Balgove Larder as it had been recommended. We called ahead to check the opening hours and was told it closed at 5pm so decided to pop in after spending the day in St. Andrews. When we arrived it was busy and we queued for the cafe. The waitress said she would have us seated in... More

Was shopping in St Andrews recently and stopped off for a scone and tea. Excellent scones with homemade jam and clotted cream. Friendly service too. Will be back.

As something of a self appointed expert in fruit scones I can honestly say that Balgove Larder serves the best fruit scones in Fife and probably Perthshire as well. That is if you like them a decent size, crunchy on the outside, slightly doughy on the inside, and warmed in a proper oven. The coffee is good too, as is... More

Balgove is one of my favourite coffee stops either for breakfast which is always freshly cooked with good tasty produce and a healthy serving . Sandwiches that are stuffed full with your favourite filling or a good helping of home made soup piping hot and always flavoursome. Top that of with a cheery welcome and excellent service you have it... More
