Yummy food, good service and nice to be in a restaurant with its own identity. We had lunch here and we're delighted by the unusual decor and lay out. A light and airy and yet I felt cosy. Our lunch was artfully presented and tasted amazing. I'd thoroughly recommend this.

Fab atmosphere, gorgeous food and great service. Love this place! We've been as a family, as a couple and with friends and have never been disappointed.

Excellent quality chateaubriand steak for 2 people, lovely wine and good service. Just a note for management - I witnessed a waiter take a shot of tequila during service which was a little worrying. Cannot fault the food in the slightest, will be returning for another delicious steak.

If sitting crammed into a barn type structure on uncomfortable chairs and tables and being charged for wine you have not had, this is the place for you. The mussels tasted of nothing, sauce was weak and insipid, not worth mopping up with the average bread. The pie was good, but the overall experience was style above substance.

Clearly lots of people like this place - it was very busy when we visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Service was friendly and pretty efficient, atmosphere is nice and the entrance builds up your hopes of a really nice meal. The menu is fairly typical British pub fayre and it is all 'acceptable' (and clearly a lot of people like... More

Though the welcome was nice and friendly, and the starter – chicken parfait – was tasty, the service afterwards was pretty rubbish. We waited 45 minutes after finishing our starters for our main to arrive, whilst others who arrived at the restaurant after us received their food (some of which was the same as the dishes we'd ordered). During this... More

Luckily we had booked as the place was jumping, asked if we could keep our table past our time and was told they would arrange another table as we were seated where the ceilidh would be later. The service was superb as was the food well worth a visit. There cocktails alone are worth going for . Xx

Food was ok but nothing special my mussels were bland and a number of them were inedible, my main of venison was of a much better quality but as my opening remark it was nothing special,,,,I would say no better than good pub grub. Food turned up very quickly so you have to question how it is prepared and cooked..... More

The idea for our restaurant has been a wee while in the making but when it comes to age it's got nothing on the building we will soon be calling home. After conducting a little research turns out our building once housed a 'Cleek Factory' owned by Robert Forgan, a name known to many for making the best golf clubs money can buy/We are proud of our building's history and here's hoping a little bit of their success rubs off on us.So with Mitchell's deli next door, in homage to local butcher and proprietor Murray Mitchell we thought it only right...Forgan's opening spring 2013Opening Spring 2013Craft Beers & Ales, Restaurant, Public Bar, Private Bothy's, Ceilidh Club, Cookery classes, Wine Club, Live Music, Monthly Dining Society, Host Your Own Roast, Local Suppliers & Producers.Free wifi access is available every day of the week, ideal if you've got a working lunch or just feel like a nosey on Facebook.
