I love the Hillhead Bookclub. Consistently good food and service, last night was no exception. We enjoyed the atmosphere the DJ created as we worked our way through the tasty halloumi fries and roast chicken. The vegan rice pudding was a substitute for a sold...More

What Hillhead lacked in fulfilling the promise of some interesting dishes it made up for it in service, aesthetics and small touches; 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 pudding and 4 drinks for £46 was reasonable. This former cinema building can't fail to impress or at...More

Had a meal in here before a gig at Oran Mor, ordered the sweet potato veggie bugger as not much choice on the menu, plenty of starters but hardly any mains. The hand cut chips that come with this are the best I've tasted and...More

2 people had the flat iron steak which they said was good, as were the chips. The sauce that came with the steak was huge & one sauce would easily do 2. I had the spinach salad with bacon & chicken. There was an issue...More

Out with friends for a concert at the Oranmor, we chose this place because it looked interesting, the menu sounded simple but appealing and because it’s right round the corner. We worried that we may be a bit older than the West End student set...More

It was probably you. They work hard and try to keep the business flowing. Why didn't your parents use birth control?

A venue where left and right handers can exist in harmony without fear of persecution. A licensed land of milk & honey where the ping-pong is plentiful the computer games are retro, the cocktails arrive in gramophones and the strawberry mojitos cost nought but 3 pounds. Vintage fairs on Sundays, sewing clubs on Tuesdays, bingo on Wednesdays plus a host of other relatively interesting tit-bits. Happy days. If you're into this kind of thing..
