Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a nice clean restaurant with amazing quality food.. the stuffed mushrooms and calamari are so nice and fresh I was very impressed as I was with the foccacia bread which the blonde waitress I think her name was Michelle...such a nice girl. Said was made on yhe premises each day. I like the way the staff interacted and talked about the food as they seem to have a real passion for quality food and customer service and not afraid to have a bit of banter with yoi. Will definitely be back..More

What a terrible meal so disappointed. Starter: Minestrone soup too salty and tasted out of a packet with chunks of vegetables added. Meatballs were nice. Mains: Lasagne was horrible the meat was very grainy as was the bolognese. Very disappointed We used to go there...alot but it has really went downhill. The waitress (blonde girl ) was cheeky to my husband. She gave us our mains and asked about black pepper and cheese my husband said oh we're waiting for garlic bread and she said yes I only have two hands, very disappointed with her attitude. Won't be back.More

My bus band and I went for a set menu lunch, this family owned traditional restaurant has been opened for many years but it’s the first time we have been in. The quality and potions were really fantastic!! Particularly for such a cheap price! Home...made pate, best meatballs we’ve had. It was really delicious, staff couldn’t be more helpful. I really liked the atmosphere and can’t wait to go back! This authentic Italian family restaurant knocks the socks off a lot of the bigger city centre ones. Unpretentious. A lot of the customers in that day seemed to be regulars which speaks for itself.More

Having known this place existed for a long time it was now time to visit. Early in the week lunch price is a steal but there is no compromise on the food. TT ate polpettine picante with a lovely piece of toasted garlic bread and...very good tomato sauce.. thought I took a pic but must have fluffed it! ...then I carried on the tomato sauce theme on to a main course of Pollo Milanese ( small price supplement but very much worth it.) Ha ha, had already eaten some before I remembered to snap it! So all good on the Italian restaurant scene in this part of the city...La Fiorentina is 100% the real deal. TT recommends ( oh, and their Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a nice drop)More

8 friends for Christmas meet up, warmly welcomed as we arrived, shown to our table and drinks orders taken. The place has a warm friendly atmosphere and the staff were attentive and in the festive spirit. Their festive menu was very good with lots of...choice. Starters mains and coffees for all. Great food and good value. A place to come back and visit.More

The building and space outside is grim and I was worried about what might be on the inside (as a first timer). Shouldn’t have worried - what a gem. Food and staff absolutely great. There’s a popular value lunch menu but we went a la...carte. Big portions, fresh food and those flavours - proper Italian. The decor inside is dated but try and see this as part of the charm. And back to those flavours - just great food. Will definitely be returning.More

This is still one of the best italian resteraunts in Scotland and I have eaten at a lot of them. This place cares a lot about the food and its customers. They really love what they do and it shows in the quality of the...food. Like so many others have said....enjoyMore

I am reluctant to give a 5 star review - which I would have given, had their food standards been consistent, but - since their most recent pizza, I cannot praise them too highly. As seen in the 1st most blurry picture (please excuse my...old phone’s quality) the pizza was of excellent standard; thin and crisp base, fresh sugo, tasty mozzarella, decent crusts. Moving onto my most recent visit (when the 3 other pics were taken), the pizza was simply a disappointment. I could guess the mushrooms were tinned (could be wrong, but looking at the picture you may make up your own mind), the pizza was slightly undercooked, and overall didn’t taste anywhere near as good as it did during our first few visits during 2021. The tiramisù and bruschetta have been consistent, surprisingly enough, though the bruschetta’s portion size after 2021 has been reduced… We have not visited again since the quality of pizza stooped so low, but we do hope this was a one off, and we got unlucky that day. If the quality nowadays is similar to when we visited a couple years ago, I’d highly recommend! However I do have my reservations given our most recent visit. If you do decide to visit, best of luck and I hope you don’t receive the same pizza standard as we did recently (around March 2023). I have only knocked 1 star off a 5 star review purely for the recent pizza ‘quality’, if I were to return and receive the same bad pizza I’d have to give 1 or 2 stars unfortunately, as that standard of pizza for a supposedly authentic and quality Italian restaurant is unacceptable. Something extra to be noted: they do offer a reasonably priced set lunch deal (and possibly dinner if I remember correctly…) which has a great selection of meals to choose from! :)More

Saturday lunchtime. Two courses for 13.50 and fantastic food. Lasagne is great as was calamari. My wife’s pasta was so good she was disappointed she could not finish it as the portion was generous.

The glass of wine was so-so. The mushroom appetizer was excellent. We both had the lasagna. Being from the USA, it tasted more like an Italian version of a “Shepard a pie with noodles” than the normal lasagna like at home or like in Italy....The sauce was a brown sauce instead of red- but it was pretty good, and had a unique character to the place with a very local neighborhood vibe.More

The food here is good, our group got a variety of different meal types and all were happy. The best part of the restaurant was the staff though who all went above and beyond to entertain our one year old who had a great time....The blonde lady with tattoos on her hands deserves a special shout out (sorry didnt catch your name) with how she interacted with the table.More
