After a few drinks in the Byers Road area, we fancied a curry and this restaurant came highly recommended. Absolutely delicious - the beef dish and the haggis pakoras, in particular, were gorgeous. Staff were really friendly too and couldn't do enough for us. Seemed to be a popular place as barely an empty table, top food/restaurant. Small word of... More

Visited here to catch the early evening Thali selection, available until 5:30 PM. Not too busy at that time so service was efficient and friendly, have been before with friends when busy and service was a bit erratic. The Thali selection allows you to choose small portions of dishes, this gives a variety rather than eating a single dish, which... More

Went at 8pm on a Friday night and were fortunate enough to get a table. Initially it was a no but when I explained we had come all the way from Canada, the boss graciously fitted us in. So happy he did. Food was lovely and fantastic value. Two appetizers, two entrees, naan, rice and a bottle of wine -... More

I have eaten here many times over the years and the food is consistently excellent. The Wee Curry Shop is in a great location in Ashton Lane but is humble in the extreme. It is tiny and the menu is sensibly small to suit the size of kitchen. However the quality is out of this world. Three of us shared... More

A nice place to go with friends. Good space between large tables. Plus you can byob. We had a selection of pakora to start. The portions were generous and more than enough to be shared. The fish and chicken pakora were especially good. I chose the smoked aubergine dish which disappointed . However the two fish curries were different and... More

The Wee Curry Shop, Ashton Lane, Glasgow. Date visited: 30 Dec 16. Ashton Lane is a 1/2 block long, just-off-the-main (Byers Road), collection of restaurants and bars. They Wee Chip Shop is a second floor, up a rod-iron outdoor stairway, 20 seat, Indian food phenom. Step inside, there's only room for you and your date, as the owner greets and... More

Visited this with my friends on Saturday ....with her husband. There were two children with us. We went for the afternoon deal. We were rushed with our food, the waiter telling us that people were waiting outside for us to leave as they had booked the table. I looked outside, there was nobody there. There were also empty tables. I... More

This is a neighbourhood restaurant, attractive and personal. The service is extremely good and the food is well executed and full of flavour - the vegetarian and fish dishes in particular- we live locally and although I can't comment on all curry restaurants in the area in part this is because 'the wee curry shop' is so good it's always... Just remember to book a table, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, as you'll be lucky to just walk in and get a table. If you cannot get in here, try Masala Twist just down Byers Road nearby, they are also excellent and are my first choice, try their Curry Mince & Tatties. The Haggis Pakora at the Wee Curry... More
