Dining at Madha, at second time in our stay in Glasgow for 5 days, was nothing short of extraordinary. As a party of two, we sought an intimate, authentic Indian culinary experience—and Madha exceeded every expectation.
The staff was impeccable—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations. Our servers, Joseph K, the owner and Dipesh took the time to explain the nuances of the menu, ensuring we made choices that suited our tastes. Every dish arrived promptly and was presented beautifully.
Madha’s menu is a celebration of India’s rich culinary diversity
For the quality and authenticity of the food, the experience was worth every penny.
Madha is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience—a journey through the flavors of India crafted with passion and precision. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a place to savor authentic Indian cuisine, Madha stands out as one of Glasgow’s finest dining destinations.
We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!

What a lovely restaurant. We popped in on a Saturday night not expecting to get served food anywhere that late, but thankfully they were open until half 10. Our experience was 5 star from start to finish. Greeted at the door straight away, welcomed in to a clean, cosy table and the menu explained to us as it contained authentic Indian food that many consumers may not be used to. The servers were excellent and gave us recommendations based on our dietary requirements that tasted delicious. The cocktails were out of this world and complimented the meal, I recommend the chai rum sling. After hearing I was vegetarian, the owner advised they were hosting a vegan food night which I can’t wait to go to. I will definitely be back and can’t wait to take my friends and family. For lovers of Indian food this is a must visit in Glasgow. Definitely a hidden gem!

My wife and I decided to have some lunch here, having reviewed the menu in the window. We were greeted in a very friendly manner, and the decor of the restaurant enhanced the friendly atmosphere. The young man who served us was attentive, but not pushy, and was more than willing to answer questions about the restaurant and the food. The food was superb, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Glasgow.

10 friends booked table last night for 6 pm . Waiter started off ok but then tried to talk some of us into buying different items from the menu for our mains so if we didn’t like we could share with person next to us . Alarm bells started ringing for me at this moment as he also did not write anything down found to be strange as I have worked in hospitality for over 30 years . 9 had starters and the portions were tiny when questioned by one of us he said it’s the quality of food . We then bought 2 rounds of drinks which some were forgotten . By 8 pm there was still no sign of our main meal . when we arrived there was only 6 other guests in restaurant all were eating . Few more smaller tables arrived after us and all had mains before us . When questioned kept getting told 5 mins we were also informed that over 8 at a table there would be an extra 10% . For 2 drinks each 4 were soft drinks and 9 tiny starters we were eventually charged £177 . At 8.10 pm we paid and walked out with no main meal and they had the audacity to hand us out cards at door for a return visit . When we got to entrance there was more guests all sitting waiting on their meal . Definitely would not recommend to anyone .

Booked for a birthday for table of 6 on a Saturday night the night before so we're appreciative that they had space. However, when we arrived it was clear they were understaffed. It took 20mins to take a drinks order, and a further 20 to take a food order, despite being told when taking the drinks that we were ready to order food. Got a sharing started for 2 at £15 but it was frankly pathetic. 2 onion bhaji, one lamb roll cut in to 3, 2 pieces of chicken the size of a finger and 2 small prawns. I wish I had taken a picture to add but as it was a birthday didn't want to ruin the more further after the ridiculous wait for food. One of the party ordered masala poppadoms for over £5 but there was nothing different about them save some chopped tomatoes on top. Mains arrived and again, portion size was small, although the flavour was fine, nothing exceptional but nice enough. Booked at 630 and at 9 we had literally just finished eating the main and had to ask for the bill immediately due to another booking. Actually staff were pleasant and taste of food was fine, they allowed us to drop off a birthday balloon for the table. However service time was terrible, extremely overpriced and the quantity was very poor, particularly for an Indian! They did present a massively oversized dosa as an apology which was a nice gesture. See plenty of positive reviews but unfortunately cannot concur - they could not cope with the booking and the price was at least double what it was worth.

Decided to try this Indian based on previous reviews. My husband is coeliac so finding this gem was great. Our waiter was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He suggested dishes to have based on our desired tastes. Lovely experience, food high standard and I would highly recommend.

Excellent, authentic Indian food with loads of South Indian specialities that you won't find in most Indian restaurants in Scotland. Dishes always have a very wholesome, home-cooked feel and no homogenous curry here; dishes are all totally different from each other, and from what you'll find elsewhere. Joseph is an amazing host who genuinely cares about his guests and wants them to enjoy his food and his incredible hospitality. A lovely man and fabulous food !!

Indulging in the culinary treasures of MADHA. I transported myself to the heart of India with every delicious bite. The vibrant ambiance and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience from the moment I step foot in the door.
Each dish, a masterpiece of authenticity, bursts with the rich, aromatic flavors of Indian spices, and my taste buds dance with joy. Whether savoring the buttery goodness of murgh makhani (butter chicken) or savoring the perfect flaky samosa, every bite was a symphony of flavors and textures.
But it wasn't just the food that left a lasting impression. The attentive staff, with their warm smiles and impeccable service, ensured that every aspect of my meal was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for sharing the true essence of Indian cuisine shone through in every recommendation and gesture of hospitality.
Madha Restaurant is a culinary gem, a haven for anyone looking for authentic Indian flavors served with a side of genuine hospitality. I felt not only satisfied, but truly enriched by the experience, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining adventure.

Absolutely delightful dining experience tonight at Madha Restaurant, Glasgow - the authenticity of the flavors truly shines through in every dish and the service was prompt. I can confidently say that I'll be thinking about the perfectly spiced, succulent Achari Chicken Kebab here for a very long time! Will definitely be returning!

A majority of Indian restaurants serve the usual North Indian cuisine of butter chicken, chicken tikka masala etc. Madha was just across the street from our hotel- the South Indian cuisine immediately drew us in. The owner, Mr. Joseph, greeted us, chatted with us for some time, and we sat down to enjoy idli-vada, dosas - one stuffed with the typical masala of a potato mixture, the other with a delicious spiced chicken. The dishes are from Kerala in South India. He also recommended a whole sea bream stuffed with a seasoned chutney and baked in a banana leaf! The cardamom kulfi for dessert was just the perfect way to finish this wonderful meal. We plan on having another meal before we leave in a few days. If you are in Glasgow would definitely recommend coming to Merchant Square to enjoy and have a meal.

What a wonderful experience. My family and I were wandering around Glasgow and we decided we wanted some good Indian food. We googled some restaurants that happened upon Madha. The gentleman working, I am not certain if he was the owner or not, was very pleasant and seated us rapidly. We asked for suggestions because some of us like spicy and some of us don’t and he picked out the perfect dishes for us. He was very accommodating. The place was clean and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The owner and staff are very friendly, and helpful in choosing what foods to order based on your preferences. The food at Madha is delicious, and there were unique menu items that you don't typically find in an Indian restaurant in Europe.

Excellent dining experience with my husband at Madha tonight. Joseph was knowledgeable, attentive and very kind. We were not familiar with some of the menu items, and he helped us choose the most suitable dishes. Every dish was delicious- well prepared and used the finest of ingredients.
We got an Indian flavored gin and tonic and the chicken 65 for starters. For the main course we got a a dish with duck meat and another with lamb. Followed this up with freshly made gulab jamun with Indian vanilla ice cream, and ended the meal with a strong, rich and flavorful cup of Indian filter coffee. Amazing dining experience. Folks, if you haven’t tried Madha, you’re missing out. We highly recommend it and wish Joseph the best.

I selected this restaurant for my birthday meal.
We were a party of four. Greeted by the lovely team headed up by Joseph.
The menu was lovely and Joseph guided us through it taking our orders without a notepad, whilst offering recommendations based on your palette.
The food arrived as ordered and was absolutely delightful, full of flavour and good size portions.
Joseph spent time with us throughout the meal but sharing stories and making us welcome. This did not encroach on our fining experience but it helped with the overall friendly feel the restaurant strived upon.
Joseph shared his love of single malts with my other half who tasted one of Joseph’s bottles.
A very welcoming experience. Full of flavoursome food. A fine dining experience I would thoroughly recommend.
Thank you for your hospitality.
