Booked a table for 18.30 as taking my grand daughter to kings theatre for Ben and Hollie , we were told at time of booking table would need to be vacated at 20.15 , that was fine by myself two daughters and grand daughter . We got there a little early but did get our table at 18.20 . This... More

Get past the unassuming frontage and down the stairs and a real treat awaits. Great choice with some unusual dishes, excellent food, attentive service and all in a traditionally Italian styled environment. Really busy so you need to book. My only complaint is that the restaurant was incredibly cold. Yes it was February and freezing outside but the draught was... More

We had lunch. 4adults + 2 children We descended a bright stairway into the restaurant. It was virtually full. A good sign. We were greeted by the smiling head waiter, and led to our table already set. Drinks were ordered and then the menu consulted. I remember I had lemon sole. Can't recall what others had but all were happy... More

Brilliant food and superb service. Very friendly staff, who were all helpful. Went to watch Rugby match and stopped to have some lunch. Great tasting food and cannot praise the staff highly enough. They got it just right and they do not rush up to ask you mid-mouthful if the food is ok as they know it is....

I visited the place because of good reviews I had read; according to my experience is overestimated. The interior style is nice but the food not what I expected. The famous ravioli was my starter which was really tasty, however my veal and my friend's meal (I don't remember the starter but the main was penne with sausage) weren't anything... More

Visited restaurant Saturday evening for a pre theatre meal with my family. Excellent value at £14.95 for 2 courses which were delicious. Service was very good. Just be warned to study the wine menu before ordering and don't give in to the continual offer of garlic bread. Restaurant was busy so I reckon pre booking is a must!

Saturday night has fixed price menu which represents excellent value. Extensive range of choices for each course. Staff friendly and efficient. Busy on every occasion we have visited and deservedly so. One slight problem with a starter was quickly dealt with. No hesitation in recommending.

Close to trains buses and taxis. Excellent food and service. Decor is like stepping back in time to old Italy. Good pre theatre menu.

I went to this restaurant just before Christmas and to be honest the food is as far from high quality Italian as I can imagine. I have had Scampi Provencale in many restaurants and it has never tasted as fishy as it did here which means poor quality products and the pate starter was bland and more like shop bought.... More
