Having visited numerous times as a group of 4 and choosing from the 'tapas' style dishes (great idea - means you can try so much more), we decided to book here for a group of 12 to eat from the graduation menu last weekend. As...More

Paid an impromptu visit here with my father. We were the only guests when we arrived as it was early and sat outside. The pleasant waiter took our order which arrived promptly. We had risotto but the highlight was the mushroom crostini, worth returning just...More

This is the fourth time we have had lunch here and have always gone for the tapas style selections. Really enjoyed these small dishes and the diverse tastes they purvey. In general our service has always been polite and efficient apart from one occasion when...More

My husband and I had lunch today at the Italian Caffe, a good deal through It Is On. We chose a number of tapas dishes - roasted pepper baked with goats cheese and served with basil pesto, two pizzettes (one Parma ham, the other one...More

Had an mid week early evening meal so the restaurant was quietish. Had excellent service, authentic cooking, great taste. (Haddock in parmessan with mash needs a crisp white wine for balance). Restaurant is bright and pleasant with booth and table seating. Well worth a visit.

I used to be a regular at The Italian Caffe but hadn't visited for good while. The management and staff have changed. The food was not quite as good but, to be fair, not far behind. The service and the ambience were the problem for...More

A contemporary styled restaurant offering authentic Italian/Mediterranean type cuisine. There was the main menu, 2 course lunch menu and pre-theatre tapas style menu to select from. We were a table of 4 and made selections from across the menus. I had the bruschetta minus the...More

Description
Glasgow's first enoteca, The Italian Caffe is situated right in the very centre of Merchant City, offering fine dining and fine wines in a sleek and contemporary atmosphere. Intended to be a bit of a home from home, The Italian Caffe may be modern and upmarket but it's nonetheless cosy and welcoming, a place to relax and unwind after a hard day in the office. Take your pick from comfortable deep green banquettes, window side seating or a perch at the bar and settle in for an evening of chilled indulgence courtesy of your choice from The Italian Caffe's fifty-odd excellent and carefully chosen wines, both Italian and international. And though those fantastic wines form the backbone of the enoteca approach don't think for a moment that food has been neglected.
