The Italian Caffe

Ratings and reviews

Certificate of Excellence2015 - 2017 Winner
Glasgow's first enoteca, The Italian Caffe is situated right in the very centre of Merchant City, offering fine dining and fine wines in a sleek and contemporary atmosphere. Intended to be a bit of a home from home, The Italian Caffe may be modern and upmarket but it's nonetheless cosy and welcoming, a place to relax and unwind after a hard day in the office. Take your pick from comfortable deep green banquettes, window side seating or a perch at the bar and settle in for an evening of chilled indulgence courtesy of your choice from The Italian Caffe's fifty-odd excellent and carefully chosen wines, both Italian and international. And though those fantastic wines form the backbone of the enoteca

Service was ok, but the food was really disappointing. Party of 4. Starters: 3x calamari and 1x Crepe. The calamari were all batter, no substance, not fresh, and particularly tasteless. The sauce on the crepe tasted strangely familiar to Heinz tomato soup (not a good...More

Held our work's Christmas Night out here and had a great night. Food was excellent and service very good. The Christmas menu was very varied with the Smoked Haddock risotto stealing the show. All dishes were well presented and no complaints from anyone. Would recommend.

We strolled around the corner from our apartment and fell into The Italian Caffe. It was a Sunday evening and we just wanted pasta, something hearty, homely and warming. It's a modern restaurant with a warm welcome and great service. Once you get past the...More
