Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visit Bier Halle on a regular basis for food and it never disappoints.
They have a wide selection of beer to choose from and offer a 2 for 1 pizza deal. You also get the choice of a free hotdog or pretzel when you order a 1 litre stein of beer.
On my last visit, I ordered the meatball pizza with a stein of Fürstenberg. 10/10.

Met up with a friend for some lunch.
Neither of us are really drinkers and so our visit was for food.
Soo much on the menu looked great and the prices did not make it easier to rule anything out as it was all rather reasonable- especially on a student budget.
I opted for the stealth fries with added chilli which came to a total of £4.10
My friend ordered the mac-n-cheese which was £4.95 and she seemed to enjoy it although her portion size looked a bit smaller compared to mine.
For our food and 2 cans of Irn Bru we came to a total of £12.65 which is pretty good for eating out.
There was a strange smell when we first arrived but no doubt this was just the alcohol and beer which I'm not yet accustomed to 😂

Visited on a warm beautiful afternoon and sat outside in the sunshine. Ordered the house lager which was cold but not warm day outside cold, could have been much colder. We Ordered pizzas which came in a cardboard box with wooden cutlery and paper napkins, the pizzas was average at best. They advertise 2 for 1 pizzas with the price of a pizza without the offer being £17.00 so with the offer two for that price. We would have been really upset if we paid for each pizza.

I have heard mixed reviews about this place for a while now, even knew someone that worked there that didn't have a nice word to say about the place.
However, I always like to have my own experiences and have to say it lives up to the negative hype.
My friend and I went in thinking we'd be there for the last hour or so before our trains. Door staff were lovely and created a bit of banter, when we went downstairs were just told to take whichever seat we wanted.
We didn't know it was table serviced so I went to the bar to get our mulled cider that was advertised outside, when female management finally approached me asking if I wanted served, I didn't realise people stood at the bar for fun, but was told they were sold out of the cider so went away to ask my friend what else she would want and then back to the bar. I stood there and counted 6 members of staff, two clearly being management level as they weren't in uniform. Stood for close to 10 minutes with people walking past me constantly, even looking over at me and as soon as I made eye contact looked the other way...finally the male manager approached and asked if I wanted served, clearly an observant guy 🙄
One of the drinks I ordered was a violet gin, manager mumbled something to me and I asked him to speak up but continued to mumble, I even leaned over the bar but couldn't hear his mumbling so I assumed he was asking if I wanted ice so I said yeah and he rolled his eyes and walked off. Not that it's relevant because I feel if someone asks you to speak up because you're struggling to hear it's just manners to do so if they're asking politely enough, but I am partially deaf in both ears so to be made to feel like an idiot because I couldn't hear is a bit rubbish tbh.
He ended up giving me straight gin, I'm a gin newbie also and whenever I've ordered gin it's always came with lemonade, never knew that was a thing but that's on me. Ended up just wanting to get out of there asap because I just felt the staff didn't want to be there so why would we.
We quickly finished our drinks and headed elsewhere for a final drink. I would also advise that if anyone is asthmatic to avoid because it is clouded with incense, not sure why so much. It was quite overpowering, especially with it being a closed, dark space.
Probably should have just listened to the poor reviews and saved a waste of a drink.

I have been here a few times in the past but I am unlikely to be back until they get rid of the stupid app that you have to order on.
Asked staff twice if we could just order from a waiter but was told they would rather you use an app which we couldn’t get to work on any of our phones
We struggled for around 30 mins with the app, unable to pay and in the end walked out without anything as we were annoyed and staff didn't seem to be bothered about helping us despite being asked for help twice.
Wont be revisiting this place which is a shame as I usually look forwards to a trip to Bier Halle on any visit I make to Glasgow but this experience has put me off any future visits.

I would just like to point out to people that they have a very understated way of warning about allergens on their menu. It is noted by numbers relating to the allergen beside each item, with a small explanation at the bottom of one page asking for you to enquire with your server. The pesto pizza actually included peanuts which resulted in my daughter having to administer her epi pen and visiting hospital. Please be very careful reading the menu if you suffer from any food allergies.

First off let me say I LOVE Bier Halle, the pizza's are fantastic and the beer selection is awesome! The atmosphere is great when the bar is open and it's just a nice place to relax with friends!
That's why this complaint won't be left as a 1 star review.
But was left a bit disappointed today. Booked a 2 hour slot via the website for midday, so ordered our final drinks at 13:45, with the purchase going through at 13:48 (were fast drinkers) so was a bit disappointed when we were asked to leave at 13:50 because the "next booking has arrived." When i asked why we were being moved when it was 2 hour booking, I was informed it was actually only booked till 13:45.
Fair enough i thought, that's on me for not reading my emails properly.
I asked for a refund on the drinks, which hadn't gone through on the system. (Which up until this point was excellent it has to be said! )
I was asked to prove I had ordered drinks several times before it was passed over to the manager and refunded (I think, i've had 10 emails regarding that order)
Anyway the next table were seated by 13:55 with us standing in the rain waiting for a refund. I've since checked the booking, the website and a future booking and nowhere does it state 1hr 45m. Always 2 hour slots. Left a bit of sour taste in my mouth. If it is 1hr 45m booking please state that when we book, and give us heads up 20m before we have to leave/ a final drinks warning.

Good choice of beers , staff all be it good at serving but didn’t come across as helpful or friendly.
Food is as expected fast food at a reasonable price but not great tasting.
It’s a bit dirty , the tables were sticky and no attempt at cleaning them between customers, as for the toilets well we won’t go there ...I did but opened door , then walked straight out...I’m not sure they had been cleaned for a while.

Booked an outside table here on Friday. Be prepared to spend the first fifteen minutes of your allotted two hours trying to order a drink. We were shown to our table and told to scan the qr code which takes you to an entirely separate app (curve)that wants you to open an account with them, no I don’t want to provide all my card details and personal details to an app I know nothing about. Go to the bier Halle website and try to order drinks using the most convoluted and illogical website I’ve had to use during this entire pandemic. Abandon logic and hope all ye who want to use it. Asked a waitress passing by if we could just order from her, “no, you have to order online” she walked away, never asked if she could help, never asked if we were having issues. Eventually asked another member of staff to help us order which she did, thought maybe it was just us but two guys walked out saying f£#k this with reference to what you have to do to try to get a drink. In short the process to try to get a drink is unnecessarily complicated and the staff are less than helpful in trying to get you that drink which is what they are being employed to do. Won’t be back in any hurry there are better places with more helpful staff to drink in.

Ordered a couple of beers, fries, hotdog and their version of a charcuterie board and it was soooo good. The cheese fondue that came with the board was so moreish and if they’d have bottled it, I’d have bought a truck load. Very good value for money and filling. Sun is out and though we’re sat in the shade it’s a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend

It started off a bit rocky, specifically sitting us in an area outside when we’d requested inside, but it did improve. The internet connection was also pretty poor when trying to order, a necessity during COVID. That said, when we got past that the waiting staff were good, the lagers were good and the pizzas were very good. Will return.

I'm Italian and love a good pizza but my personal preference is thin and crispy pizza... I wouldn't have imagined that the most delicious pizza I've eaten in Glasgow would be in a beer house but here I am writing a review to recommend it 😆
My choice of topping was goats cheese and vegetables but margherita was also great.
I'm a teetotal so I can't review the drinks but my friends were very happy with them lol

Fantastic range of beers, especially wheat beers which can be hard to find.
Food was great, the pizza’s were really nice, lovely and thin and crisp, and their special pizza which had hot dogs on it was brilliant. Great atmosphere inside and out.

Stood waiting for about 5 minutes behind another group before one of the 6 members of staff at the bar said we could sit anywhere we liked. Waited at the bar for a further five minutes before I was refused service and sent back to order from a qr code while 6 member of staff had a jolly. The chaps next to us went up to the bar and ordered, receiving their beer before us without being sent back to their table to order via a convoluted qr code system. We tried again to order from the bar after the other chap was successful but again were sent away despite 6 members of staff enjoying each other's company rather than being particularly busy. I used to like this place.

Friday, sun shining, pay day arrived - only one thing for it, a ‘working’ lunch before the weekend!
We wandered along to Gordon Street and found Bier Halle, taking our seat in one of two outside seating areas.
I ordered the Hot Dog & Chips, accompanied by a pint of Draught Coke. Nicely presented good food, with a decent portion size to go with it. Just under £10 for the lot - not too bad given the city centre location.
The atmosphere was great - the weather playing a big part in dragging people out and about. Could easily have set there all afternoon (thankfully sticking to soft drinks before I got a ‘taste for it’). Will most definitely visit again!
