My hubby & I had breakfast at Scran this morning for the first time.
Interior - cozy & a bit quirky - we sat at the window which was ideal for people watching! Service was warm, welcoming & efficient. Food was well presented & tasty...(clearly made with good quality ingredients).
Overall brilliant! Highly recommended!More

Although my plan for the day was to wander around Glasgow’s Southside, the starting point had to be Scran in Dennistoun which is in the opposite direction.Having figured out when to arrive to get a seat, I went for the ‘Bayou Bowl’ from the new...menu, which is a superb combination of ox-cheek, poached eggs, cauliflower purée and pit beans, served with corn bread. It was a great start to the day and so filling that, give or take a knickerbocker glory late in the afternoon, I didn’t feel hungry until late in the evening.More
I walked from the Cathedral on a blistering hot day knowing there would be a great lunch at Scran. Without hesitation I went for the ‘special’ which was Vietnamese-style toasties with pork and all sorts of interesting and tasty items including a mug of soup....Then a small chocolate tart which was both very chocolatey and not full of sugar as offerings like that usually are. All for £15 including Irn-Bru, espresso and tip. Tremendous value for money!More
Honestly so obsessed with this place - only been three times and every dish I’ve had so far has been sublime. The burger fries are spot on and the coffee is also class (and I’m fussy with coffee lol) . Staff are super friendly and...chill and there’s just such a relaxed atmosphere about the place, already anticipating my next visit.More

Such a kind review. Look forward to welcoming you back soon 😊
Had high hopes for this place after reading a lot of reviews. Always busy when walking past. Had a portion of “nonnas fries” and sadly found it tasting quite oily. The fries itself felt like they were frozen as they had that hard inner texture...as if there were two tones of heat to them. Could just be an off day but wouldn’t rush back.More
Top quality food and service. Staff are very accommodating and friendly- they do a great job at managing the busy cafe with a smile 😄.
My whole family loves the food and we are never left disappointed by the quality/portions. Looking forward to many more...takeaways and weekend specials.
Thank you ScranMore
