This is a busy little cafe but what a great eatery. We had to wait for 20 mins or so but it was worth it. Hubby had the nonna’s eggs whilst I had the brioche french toast. Absolutely delicious. One of the best. The Italian sausage meat was just amazingly tasty. Hubby can probably eat a whole plate. This is a great little cafe and there is a steady stream of people coming in. Well worth the wait!

Top quality food and service. Staff are very accommodating and friendly- they do a great job at managing the busy cafe with a smile 😄. My whole family loves the food and we are never left disappointed by the quality/portions. Looking forward to many more takeaways and weekend specials. Thank you Scran

Excellent! I would say a must try I'm Glasgow for brunch!. We lucked out and got a table with only a few minutes wait while they cleared the table. The restaurant is small and very popular so we know we got lucky. Especially when we seen the amount of people coming in after us. The coffee and iced coffee we ordered were great. Not your standard flavours nice twists and highly recommend. I ordered the Bayou Bowl which they had just ran out of an ingredient but the very helpful friendly server offered a quick substitute suggestion which worked an absolute treat! We really enjoyed our food and the service was second to none. Really friendly staff and made the experience all the better. We enjoyed the food so much we thought we would try some cakes to take away. Again they were a brilliant delight!

I've never had a bad dish/experience in Scran. Their consistency is genuinely something I've never experienced anywhere else, even when they're rushed off their feet. The staff are all great, happy to chat away, take pride in their job and are always on the ball. If you're looking to try somewhere for brunch you can't really ask for more in terms of service and quality!

No wonder this place is so popular. From the minute we walked in to leaving, we were treated so well by all the staff and the food is well worth the drive for. We had the Stornoway Benedict and the Ox Cheek bun. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the Stornoway black pudding is to die for. Scran is one of the best cafes in Glasgow. So grab your table now and enjoy.

Best cafe in Glasgow, amazing food and lovely staff. Weekend specials are always on point and filled with creativity. Nonnas eggs and Thai fries are some personal menu favourites. The garlic mushrooms are beaut *chefs kiss*. The stornoway black pudding is melt in the mouth. Ferrero got chocolate is worth every calorie. 100% wish I could Scran everyday.

Having wanted to visit Scran for some time and following all the rave reviews, we finally got round to visiting on Friday. We had the Eggs Royal-ish and Eggs with Stornaway Black pudding. The dishes were perfectly executed in terms of flavour, presentation and imagination! We also got a couple the famous sausage rolls for road - stunning! If you haven’t been I’d highly recommend visiting - it’s well deserving of all the praise! The staff were exceptionally friendly and the menu is exceptional value for money! Well done Chris & team! 5/5

After months of not going out and being able to enjoy dining in somewhere it was finally a relief to go enjoy the smells and ambience of some of Glasgow's finest places . After a quick journey to the east end we decided to try this wonderful little place and thoroughly enjoyed it . The staff are very friendly and helpful especially if you need a hand . The place is cozy with a good atmosphere . The food was absolutely delightful . I went for the scran banquet bun with duck , black pudding , egg and chutney will my partner went for a halloumi and pea puree bun . All I can say is that there were no crumbs left on the plate . Whether it's breakfast or lunch you need to try this place and savour the wonderful and innovative dishes which will leave you wanting more .

We enjoy walking days in London and since returning to live on the West coast of Scotland are now beginning our adventures in Glasgow. My husband found a review of Scran so we chose to go there for lunch today whilst embarking on our first urban adventure. It was absolutely excellent. I can say without fear of contradiction, that is was the best lunch we have had which we haven't made ourselves, for as long as we could recall. We had the special which was Pulled Cajun Chicken, with Beetroot hummus, New Potato salad, Puy lentils, Tzatziki, Coriander and Pickled red cabbage. Served with Rye Flatbread. Masses to eat, Tea and soft drinks and a strawberry tart to top it off. Brilliant. Get yourself there, you'll be full, happier and only slightly less well off ££ afterwards. The cost is really reasonable. (And I am almost Aberdonian so that's saying something).

Food is consistently exceptional. Great brunch items, weekly special, delicious cakes/treats and all at a very reasonable price. Staff are excellent - especially considering how busy the place can be. Can be a little wait but definitely worth it. Every single time.

Food was amazing! I visited here in Feb on a Sunday during lockdown. People were queuing safely and orders were taken and again queuing waiting for order was all organised safely. I ordered a Filled roll and the chicken toastie with Cajun fries. Super delicious food and for a great price too. Staff were very friendly too! Will definitely be back. Thanks Scran!

Everything I’ve tried here is delicious. I’m allergic to eggs which is a usually a pain in the neck for brunch but there are plenty of amazing options here that stop me feeling like I’m missing out. Favourite dishes are the halloumi bun, all the fries and the mac and cheese. Great coffee and good selection of cold drinks too. Always worth the wait for a table and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Although my plan for the day was to wander around Glasgow’s Southside, the starting point had to be Scran in Dennistoun which is in the opposite direction.Having figured out when to arrive to get a seat, I went for the ‘Bayou Bowl’ from the new menu, which is a superb combination of ox-cheek, poached eggs, cauliflower purée and pit beans, served with corn bread. It was a great start to the day and so filling that, give or take a knickerbocker glory late in the afternoon, I didn’t feel hungry until late in the evening.

Dropped in for my daughter’s birthday lunch after hearing and reading so much about this gem. We all started with the tomato, cauliflower and roasted red pepper soup which was delicious. Then I had the famous Scran smashed burger fries. They didn’t disappoint. Loads of smashed burger, cheese, crispy onions and secret Scran burger sauce piled on top of crispy French fries. An absolute bargain at £5.50. Scran is closing and relocating at the end of September. Not sure where they’re going to reappear yet so keep an eye out on their socials.

Been to Scran more times than I care to admit and genuinely the best brunch in Glasgow. Staff are super friendly, food is divine and never had a bad meal. They also stock a bunch of sweet treats so can't leave without a Chulos stuffed cookie which they get on Saturdays. Such a lovely atmosphere and was seated quickly. Coffee is delicious (and this comes from a 'tea' person), eggs cooked to perfection and always leave feeling full 👌 clearly will be back again! Good option for vegans, veggies as well as gluten free options.
