Unfortunately despite lovely staff and a nice atmosphere, the food was pretty average. The beef small plate arrived and we both felt disappointed. It was a tiny portion of greasy beef, no garnish to make it look appetising and could have done with a dipping...sauce. The mains were better but my tofu arrived just sliced and a little cold in my rice, I was hoping for nice fried chunks to add some texture but it was a bit mushy - this is just my preference though. My partner enjoyed his chicken dish but after leaving we both agreed, unfortunately that there are better places offering similar food and we probably wouldn’t hurry back. Returned to Wudon after long, long, covid-caused delay. Apprehensive; as we knew it had been revamped. Didn't need to worry 🙂! Still as friendly and efficient as ever. New décor was soft and pleasant on the eye. Broader, pan-Asian menu was tasty, suitably priced, and...imaginative. "Wee Plates" were a perfect introduction to the food now available. We came in for lunch on a quiet weekday lunch. The restaurant had just opened up and we were the first customers in, so no trouble having our choice of seats. We ordered a lemon tea, Black Bean Ramen with Tofu and a Tom Yam...with Chicken. The lemon tea was just about the weakest lemon tea I can remember having in a long time. You tell by looking at the photo just how weak the tea was, and there definitely wasn’t enough lemon. There was one slice of lemon in the glass and I literally thought that was all the lemon they used. The sauce in my ramen was much too thick, making the noodles stick together. The taste was fine though, just disappointed by the presentation. Overall, I was a bit disappointed. Came here on the basis of all the excellent reviews. The lemon tea was poor and IMHO, my ramen should not be sticking together. I’m giving Wudon an average because my friend thought her Tom Yam was good.More

Visited on Saturday afternoon. Ordered a variety of dishes to share. Food came very quickly however everything was very hot and tasted as though it was fresh. Had a variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Katsu curry was tasty and shared lots of small...dishes which were all absolutely lovely. Service great and will definitely return.More

We ate here as a family of four at lunchtime, partly because unlike many Japanese restaurants, it has a children's menu. First the good stuff - the starters were amazing, the prawn wontons were to die for and the pork, prawn and mushroom dumplings were...lovely too. Edamame beans were nice, but the portion was small and expensive. The service was fantastic, the 2 ladies were so nice, super-attentive and really friendly - even for Glasgow! The missing things - the kids meals were literally just chicken and sticky rice, no sauce included and no veggies, if you want sauce, it's an extra £1.50 each for a tiny bowl of sweet chilli or satay, not great. The waitress even said that the kids meals were really dry! The katsu curry was really tasty, but again missed the leaves and pickle shown in the pictures. It was nice though. Pudding was ok, hot chocolate roll were more pastry than chocolate, but the coconut ice cream was nice. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area anyway, but I wouldn't make a special trip. It's a shame because a few wee tweaks and the annoying stuff would be gone and this would be a fab restaurant, but for over £100 for 2 adults and 2 kids, it needs to be better.More

Staff were very nice and service was good. However, the food was mediocre and was overly expensive for the quality. No authentic flavours, very bland. The chicken that came with the Teppanyaki was super thin as if a normal chicken breast had been cut in...half, not very substantial. With the likes of Silla and E-Sushi with close by, I probably wudon’t come back.More

I love this restaurant and I certainly will go back. Lovely food. I had classic wudon with prawns. A real delight! Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Lovely staff also!

Had a mango salad here that was just fantastic...I've tried to create it at home and don't know the secret because it just wasn't the same! I've eaten here a few times and it's all good. Really lovely service as well.

A good range of dishes from Asian cuisine. Starters were not overly expensive and main courses were excellent value. The staff were attentive, removing used dishes promptly. Our order was taken promptly and served equally promptly. The decor and layout was quite basic and the...place could certainly be improved in that respect but overall a good establishment that I will happily re-visit.More
