I wouldnt normally leave a poor review as I like to support vegan businesses and don't want to be unfair on a place, however we were so disappointed by the whole experience that I felt like I had to. Went here for lunch as we...used to love this place and the big Buddha bowls. However they have completely changed the menu and upon arrival werebtold quite a few of the items on the menu were not available as they were busy yesterday. They also didnt seem to have any cakes in the glass cabinet at the front. I got the green goddess salad which was supposed to have tofu and broccoli in it but it didn't seem to have much, if any. So basically £7 for a large, browning lettuce leaf in dressing. My partners food came out super late. The waitress was very apologetic to be fair and said we could have some money off our bill (though this didn't happen when we went to pay at the front so). I'm not sure if they were just having a bad day, as both tables to either side of us had problems with their food which required it being sent back to the kitchen, but to be honest we won't return. Such a shame because we used to really love it here and would bring our friends. The old menu was amazing and such good value for money.More

Visited for lunch and sat in the sunny courtyard. Wonderful friendly service - nothing was too much trouble. Had freshly squeezed watermelon juice - recommended and it was delicious. Risotto was excellent too. All in all a great restaurant, passionate about their menu and welcoming.

New favourite restaurant. So, so tasty we just loved everything. We shared the Mediterranean platter the mushrooms were unbelievable. The chilli tofu was my favourite and I’m not much of a tofu fan usually. And a few other dishes. The wine was delicious, the staff...were very friendly. We will be back!More

Had a lovely 3 course lunch here with my husband and we both enjoyed it. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, good for families too. We had the meze and the burger, both recommended. A large selection of cakes ( see pic)

Dropped in for a late lunch, what a delicious treat we had. The food is beautifully presented and seasoned. I had soup of the day- spiced sweet potato and smoked beetroot with charred broccoli on soba noodles. What taste sensations my mouth was in heaven.... My partner had the soul food bowl and he was equally enraptured. Definitely check out this beautiful restaurant . This is such a wonderful vegan restaurant! Second time visiting for dinner so far this year and both times the food and service has been excellent. The food is so fresh and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend and I’ll definitely be back.

What an amazing lunch I had green burrito with mango and carrot salad.It was amazing and on top of that kambucha was spot on.

We had high hopes for this meal and were quickly dissapointed From the lukewarm reception to the shambolic missing foods from our meals to the absolute poor handling of everything it went from bad to worse The pitifully petite olive starters were probably the least...tasty olives I have ever tasted My meal arrived with an empty metal mini bucket on the plate. When I pointed out that the chips were missing she quickly retorted ''No, they are there' ' pointing at the empty mini bucket..and then realised her mistake. How she not noticed in carrying the plate from the kitchen to the table that the mini chip bucket was empty I'll never know She returned later with a mini tin of the fattest potato wedges I've ever seen. When I questioned if these were chips she said 'yes' When is a chip a potato wedge is the question I am still trying to answer. Some of them were hard and not cooked and I left most of them Secondly my son ordered the sweet potato curry and when it arrived he noticed the popadoms were missing and asked for them. The waitress quickly replied no popadoms with this, thats a different dish As the menu had been taken away we could not argue this at the time. My son thought it had popadoms with the dish he had chosen. We managed to find a menu and he was correct, the dish stated popadoms Thirdly the Bang Bang Satay bowl was more a a damp squid Again food items missing which was once again denied by the waitress The tiniest amount of Tofu, come on now tofu is hardly pricey A complete lack of any seasoning in this dish meant this got left and the cauliflour was compeltely absent Fourthly my Mac soul burger was without a soul, the burger was a mess, the burger fell apart before I could eat it and was a damp squidgy mess as well as tasteless and the baby gem lettuce was not a bay any more it had clearly grown We all left most of the food on our plates and no one came to the table to ask us how our meal was When we tried to discuss the problems we were told the manager was sick and they spent an eternity trying to phone this mysterious manager One of the waitresses it was her fisrt day and she clearly didnt have a clue on how to handle the situation No front of house no manager, a restaurant should not open if they are not being manged My son was willing to pay 50% of the bill when I would have refused to pay a penny for any of it, so dissapointed were we and we left disgruntled and hungry Never again. I know restaurants can have bad days but good customer service is vital to rectify mistakes and win back the customer. We were made to feel like we were int he wrong I have never had to ask for a reducation on a meal, this was a first time and no wonder people dont like to complain,as the staff made this a really awkward and difficult process taking close to half an hour to resolve . Whoever the mysterious manager is this really is not good enough for you to be opening your doors as an above average priced restaurantMore

Ordered a takeaway which was a Sweet Potato Korma and it was bursting with flavour! So, so good! Staff were nice and friendly when I collected my meal. Will definately be back for the dining experience.

I've visited twice recently: in December 2022 and January 2023. Both times my friend and I had such a lovely, relaxed time: its become our new favourite place! There is a great selection of Jenier teas, unusual blends which we hadn't come across before. We...both had the delicious salad bowls - its good to be able to choose large or small and we enjoyed the yummy raw cheesecake desserts. It's all tasty and healthy. The ambience is lovely - lots of space, plants, great quotes on the walls. The staff are friendly, kind and happy to advise and also adapt dishes when needed. Even the music was great! We were looking forward to our first visit to the Soul Food Cafe. It turned out to be short and unpleasant. We went in and there was no greeting from anyone beind the counter. Oh well, hey ho. But the problems began when we were...seated. The waitress started by telling us what wasn't available on the menu. Basically, one (of four) item on the brunch menu was available. One (of four) item on the specials menu was available. She then began scoring things off the regular menu, saying 'We don't have that...or that....or that....' In short, there were more items on their (not especially big) menu that weren't available than actually were. These included pancakes. How can a restaurant that supposedly offers brunch not have pancakes? There was so little on offer we got up and left, and we won't be back. I've been eating in restaurants for nearly fifty years and I can't remember a service - in terms of availability - as poor as this was. If you're a restaurant, provide a service to patrons. It's really not difficult.More

We visited today for lunch as a family. I had originally booked for 2 people, however, my brother and sister in law decided to join us. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and said it was no bother to add the additional guests. The...food was unbelievable; fresh, tasty and full of flavour. My nephew and I had the breakfast, it was delicious. The service was also great and the staff were brilliant at recommending some dishes and explaining the ingredients. My brother especially loved the special of chargrilled cabbage! He said it was amazing! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thanks!More
