I've ordered two takeaways from here recently, and both times the meals were brilliant. But both times, once when I was picking up, and the other when it was getting delivered, we've been left waiting for our food. The food is brilliant so I can...understand they are busy. But please try give more realistic pickup/delivery times, or at least chuck us some free poppadoms for waiting! Great food, could do better on the service side, but easily rectified.More

Me and my partner found the place of google and saw the reviews. We were very warmly welcomed. The gentleman was very polite and friendly. We saw a wide variety of choice on the menu. Mainly focusing on chicken based dishes. The food came a...quick but reason time for it to be cooked with care. The chicken was pure white and juicy. All food looked fresh and smelt great. The naan bread is the biggest I’ve seen. Can’t speak highly enough of the food. Best I’ve tasted. Very high recommend this restaurant.More

I just had an amazing food delivery yesterday and was so delicious 😋 I had lb bhoona desi style with green Chilli chicken tikka w/d salad 🥗 chopped and garlic chilli 🌶 sauce 4 butter chapati garlic chilli coriander nan riata spiced onions mango chutney...4 crispy poppadoms I've not had a better day at work for months everyone else was off or dying from flu bug amazing keeps the doctors 😋 away 😋 😀 then I remembered my father built the restaurant in 1978 gave it a fantastic name Anarkali shah jahan wife in anyone didn't know he built the Taj mahal for his wife 😋 I started working with my father and brother washing dishes my brother got the better end of the stbick he worked in the front of house 🏠 😋but I went on to work in probably the best Indian in the UK 🇬🇧 😀 killermont polo club bears den really Maryhill 😀 lol 😆 if anyone would like to hear more about my life story 😀 I'm writing a book 360 degree's Glasgow style coming out soon 😀 Enjoy the rest 😀 keep up the good work Anarkali established 1974 simply the best 👌 👍 😍More

The food from here is great! They never disappoint! However, on a couple of occasions the driver has been really rude but I put it down to him maybe having a bad day…Nah, same again tonight! I open the door and say “hello”, no response,...he hands the bag over (doesn’t even look at you) and I say, “thanks very much” no response and he walks away ? What pi$$es me off, is that I have a locked gate as I have dogs (one of which is a pup) he walks out and leaves it wide open! It was closed when you came in it! Shut it, and lock it when you leave! If he doesn’t like his job, he should get a new one! He’s a rude, miserable man that shouldn’t be allowed near customers! Manners cost nothing, but he won’t be get any from me in future! This restaurant is a little gem behind an unassuming front. The welcome was very friendly and before long, the restaurant was completely full and new arrivals were being turned away. The menu is varied, with options for vegetarians and vegans. £9.95 for a delicious and...filling two course lunch is hard to beat. It was my first visit, but it won’t be my last.More

Purchased a takeout for 2 . Korma was amazing. Garlic nan was inedible. Chicken bhuna. It really wasn't a bhuna. Not acceptable to have huge chunks of green peppers and onions. Any good chef should have this in the background of any dish and not...the 1st thing that hits you. If an Indian restaurant cannot produce something as simple as this...... we probably will try somewhere else now. The 45 minute round trip is just not worth it for a dish of bland vegetables instead of a chicken bhunaMore

Ordered cauliflower pakora, chicken ticka jaipuri and a plain paratha. Took a wee bit longer to pick it up but, (Road works). Paratha was stodgy, jaipuri chicken overspiced, pakora could have been crispier but put it down to delay in pick up. Realised when driving...away that I had been shortchanged by £2.00. At this point no going back (roadworks made that a no no). In future will pay by card and not cash. Just need them to know their standards are slipping. Have been visiting, either sitting in or take away for nearly 30 years. I don't live in the area any more so 40 minute round trip there and back. May have to find somewhere else. Been a few years since we'd visited Anarkali. Delighted to be back there for a group catchup curry with some mates. Hospitality was top notch and the food is as good as ever.
