This must be my fourth visit to this absolute gem of a restaurant. Everything is great about this place, all the waiters, chefs and Lucas who is at the door giving you a lovely warm welcome. I said it was my mums 85th birthday and they certainly made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much, from getting water, extra ice, more drinks etc. The food is just delicious, the best Italian I’ve ever had, it must be made by Italians. From the pepperoni pizza to mussels in garlic, lasagne to their delicious chicken wings, it’s all so tasty. I can’t wait to go back. They have a pink blossom tree which is really pretty to look at and the waiters are dressed with kilts as aprons it just very special. They got the whole place singing happy birthday to my mum and made her a lovely Italian ice cream with a huge sparkler, can’t wait to go back!

We popped in on Saturday afternoon without booking and was welcomed by all waiting staff with a smile. the atmosphere in the place is always warm. I usually don't care for music too much in restaurants, but they had Barry White playing, so I who can resist! The food was amazing, we opted for some dishes on the daytime tasting menu and I wasn't able to finish, so they put my leftovers in a doggy bag. We will be back soon !

Booked a table for 8pm, but poor service as when I asked the female server about it as we were in a queue outside she advised to go inside to find out as she didn’t deal with bookings. It just seemed to be so chaotic as inside we were asked to wait for our table and asked if we wanted a drink which we advised what we would like but it didn’t appear and the wait for the table was about 35 mins. Once food and drink ordered there was a little delay in getting it then as we were finishing our dishes they were cleared which felt a bit like come on you’ve ate and now time to vacate due to there being folk still waiting to come in. Tables not very big and so close together. Food was good and the drinks were lovely but so expensive especially the cocktails Seemed a little unorganised for the booking system which could do with getting a bit slicker

Recently I have seen so many people raving about spuntini. It’s safe to say I was quite disappointed, it is definitely hyped up, the food is very average and the service wasn’t amazing either. We went for late lunch on a Friday, the restaurant was relatively busy but there was lots of staff working so I was quite surprised that they weren’t very attentive. I had the prawn linguine which was flavourless and very oily for £14 (the manager did rectify an issue with this and took it off the bill which I appreciated but I would still give this dish a miss). My boyfriend had a pizza which was okay, but it lacked any flavour, herbs etc in the tomato base. Some of the cocktails were ok but the pornstar martini was extremely sour, watery and didn’t taste of passion fruit at all. Not sure how how they could justify charging £9 for that, I would expect a cocktail of that standard to be about £4.

Well.... What can I say, an Italian restaurant for people who do not or have not had the pleasure of trying real Italian food. The service was a bit mixed, the female waitresses were great but the males were not up to the standard so much. Each time you call one of the male waiters they act as the manager and say they will find someone to assist you. Maybe that is the case but still... Get a grip and provide a service. The food was just distinctly average and the crowd was a bit meh, typical rowdy bunch that probably eat out twice a year so get a bit over excited by it all. Nice decor though and a lovely ceiling, best part about the place. Oh I will say though that the coffee was really nice but I went there for so much more.

A party of 7 visited last week for my daughters birthday and although the food was good the service was shocking. We arrived at 6.30 to find the table I had reserved was not reserved even though I had confirmation by email from the restaurant so they stuck us at a table and added an extra table to the end which then caused an obstruction to other restaurant users. Once we were crammed into our table we were asked if we would like a drink while we viewed the menu which we ordered but the drinks did not arrive until gone 7pm. The staff were repeatedly either wearing their masks under their noses or under their chins which in a busy restaurant is a risk to every customer in there but I am very conscious because I have health issues and need to be very careful so maybe I expect too much for the staff to follow the law and wear their mask properly. The food was good but not as good as precovid with smaller portions and less variety for instance I had Filleto Spuntini which on previous visits was 2 slices of fillet steak with black pudding stuffed in between with either veg or fries served with peppercorn sauce this time it was 1 single fillet steak with black pudding dropped on top and the steak size was no where near the size you used to get. It was served with chips no vegetables were offered and a cereal bowl of peppercorn sauce but with no spoon and no way of pouring it without drowning your plate in peppercorn sauce. Very disappointed.

This is my go to restaurant on Byres Road. Their lunch deals are incredibly well priced for the quality of food you receive. The tapas menu is my favourite as you get a taste of everything and the portion sizes are perfect. The staff are so welcoming and are very attentive even when the restaurant is packed.

Food was really tasty and good portions. 3 small Italian dishes (tapas style) for £9.99. Had mussells that were delicious, bruschetta was crunchy and fresh, Mediterranean vegetables were good but not as good as other two dishes. Less tables and social distancing being adhered too. Cameras at door as well There were lots of staff but they were not very attentive, we had to keep seeking them out to ask for things. Waited ages for one diners dish and got a wrong dish that we did not order, they let us keep it but none of us wanted it. On the whole I would go back as food was good, just staff need to be a bit more attentive.

Early dinner on Friday night, was starting to get busy but shown to our table very quickly. Drinks arrived promptly too, I chose a pasta dish and my husband chose pizza. When my pasta arrived it had pesto through it which wasn’t stated on the menu, I’m really not keen on basil. The waiter saw I was picking at it to get rid of it -he brought the menu over, I explained my issue and despite saying I would eat it he emphatically insisted on changing it. Prompt arrival of new very very tasty pasta and my husband’s pizza was kept warm. His pizza was really nice and my very generous portion of pasta was delicious. Waiting staff very polite and efficient and food excellent. Will definitely be back!

Had lunch with a friend here this afternoon. Lovely little restaurant in the heart of the City. Beautiful, authentic food and wonderful staff. The lunch time offer of 3 tapas for £10.99 is great value and you get a lot of food for your money! The mozzarella fritti were to die for. Thank you Vincent and the team for looking after us.

I’ve been a customer here for a few years now and keep meaning to leave a review because this place is top class! The food has always been delicious, arrives piping hot and just as ordered (I’m fussy and usually have a few special requests ;). Most delicious Carbonara in Glasgow! I don’t know how they do it but organisation of staff is outstanding and everything operates like a finely tuned watch. Waiting staff are always available and you are never kept waiting long at all for your food. Really is fantastic service. The staff are all so friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Luca and his team deserve a huge pat on the back as they truly are a credit to their industry. Be sure to visit them as soon as you can, you won’t be disappointed :) Marisa

I eat out 2-3 times per week with my husband or friends. I also eat out 2-3 times per week on my own. I am still amazed at the lack of appreciation of restaurant staff of the value of the silver pound. Reasons against returning to this restaurant: 1. disappointing food 2. lack of decent lighting made it difficult to read 3. glass not washed properly 4. unfriendly staff to the point of rudeness - when my card did not connect immediately to the device, the waitress asked if I was sure it was a contactless card. (Are there any other kinds of debit cards?)

The title says it all. The service was beyond terrible. Many users in the last month have also shared similarities with my experience i.e poor greeting in the door from tall Italian man with very short hair. Very ignorant, rude and unprofessional. Didn't feel welcome at all. Staff all seemed like headless chickens and the service was barely 'service'. Lots of staff working but seemed to be more interested in talking to each other rather than being attentive to the customer. Italian man in the door on his MOBILE PHONE more than once and hovered over the party of girls at the table beside us but failed to acknowledge us? Very creepy and weird man who did not want to even thank loyal customers for spending money in his restaurant. Heard a tray being dropped as well and everyone moaning and we even got one of the wrong tapas dishes served to our table and didn't even compensate for this mistake on the bill. The lasagne was really hard and the plate was extremely hot and almost burned the hand off not only me but the girl serving us who tried to be kind but didn't really show any interest. Creepy man in the door. Slow service. Mistaken dish. Noise of glasses falling. Won't be back and do not recommend.

Have been to this lovely Italian Restaurant before. There was a slight wait to be seated due to Covid 19 restrictions. Once seated the service was friendly and efficient, they didn't have the wine that I wanted but made an excellent recommendation for an alternative. This place serves a tapas style menu but they do also have Piazza and main courses. I tried Italian baked eggs which was delicious the other courses tried where a chicken ravioli (as a main) and several small plates again all delicious. I like my food but non of us could finish our meal and the waitress suggested tubbing them up so we could take them home. We had Ice cream and I had a Lemoncelo to finish with.

First of all, food was great, really recommend the surf & turf, unreal and brilliant value for money. Absolutely no fault there what so ever. However, as you walk into the restaurant there is covid signs everywhere, wear face masks, temperature system albeit they didn’t ask us to use it, track and trace form to fill out yet the seating down stairs is shoulder to shoulder with strangers. There is a row of 4 tables for 2 and you are less than a foot from the table next to you so you need to make sure you’re comfortable basically dining with strangers and can’t really talk freely without being overheard. I would be scared to go to the toilet and slide past the tables because my bum would touch their food it’s just horrific. Pandemic aside it’s overall a terrible experience for any diner and when you’re spending £100 on a meal you want to be comfortable. We were one of 3 couples who were seated in this area and two of which asked to be moved because it just was no comfortable in the slightest. The other bad point is the soft drinks are abysmal, I asked for a Diet Coke, it tasted disgusting so assumed it was full fat, got a replacement still disgusting. Asked for an irn bru and again disgusting. The only explanation is that they are charging you £3.10 for cheap draft syrup which is terrible. So if you don’t like Rola Cola or similar just get water to be on the safe side. I’ll definitely come back but be mindful that I specifically ask for a window table or a booth and don’t drink the soft drinks. Would give it a 5 starts but really value being able to feel comfortable in a restaurant.
