We visit BSB every 3 months, usually with different friends, and have done so for the last 4 years. And we have never ever had an ok meal..... every single visit has been quite excellent, and for all attendees. The menu is so extensive that we never get bored, and the quality of the food is amazing. I'd call it... More

We enjoyed the food at the Black Sheep Bistro but we expected restaurant quality food based on the rave reviews, not just good home cooking.

I booked upon recommendation and was not disappointed! Wonderful food and service. The food from a menu not short on choice was well cooked and presented. You should book as seating is limited and this restaurant obviously has pride in its offering. An excellent way to round off a day enjoying the city.

This is turning into my favourite restaurant. Food is fantastic and the staff are lovely. We had Balmoral chicken, Haddock with pesto, 2 coffees, beer and water. Bill was £40. Laid back and cozy, would've happily stayed all night!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The menu is large and has an array of home cooked food. We all avoided ordering starters as the portions are huge. A good decision as our chicken, steak pie and stroganoff were very filling. We ordered the 7 'mini desserts ' which are enormous,... More

My husband and I have just dined at The Black Sheep Bistro. The quality of the food was fabulous. Unpretentious food cooked to an amazingly high standard. The menu is extensive so there is something to please everyone's palate and purse. Tonight we had the best meal in a long time. You know that everything is freshly cooked and it... More

My husband has been suggesting going here for a while because he has worked in the area and people have recommended it to him so we finally booked it for our anniversary last Saturday. It's kind of tucked away, not on a main drag and very understated in the outside but as soon as we opened the door it was... More
