I visited here with my partner on a Saturday evening in November. Great ambience and lovely decor. There was even a belly dancer which made the experience all the more fun. The food was excellent. Really, really tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. A couple of small points however. The service was excellent apart from one strange occurrence. After... More

We visited on a quiet Tuesday night before a concert and were the only ones there, but the staff were great. It doesn't have an alcohol license but there is a Spar across the road. We had lots of dips and chicken kebabs which were all very tasty with lovely traditional bread.

After driving past this restaurant for a while now we finally gave into our curiosity and booked a table. The decor is great and we felt like we were on holiday because of it. The staff were so welcoming and although the restaurant was reasonably quiet when we went (football night and we had a late table) we felt really... More

Fantastic grilled meat - I'm especially a fan of the lamb chops and chicken. The shwarma and humous were also really good!

Just got home from Nur in Bridge Street. Terrible experience! Ended the night with my wife in tears as we haven't been out since baby number 2 came along. We had come out to celebrate my wife's birthday and had come from another restaurant in town which had been flooded by a burst water main. For a Saturday it was... More

Had an early dinner at Nur with my wife. The two starters we chose, humous, and Egyptian salad, were both incredibly tasty. The humous was the best we have ever tasted, and the salad beautifully presented and was a joy to eat. We then had lamb and potato tagine, and chicken and spinach tagine, with rice. It was all nothing... More

We were surprised and delighted to find an Egyptian restaurant in Glasgow. The setting is just off the city centre south of the river. The internal decor is delightful - eastern fabrics and design. The food was good - excellent starters and delicious chicken.

Absolutely superb tagines accompanied by a cup of hibiscus - would never have thought such a combination would have worked but it was wonderful.
