Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent food. Our second visit and the food both times was absolutely excellent. Tenderest steak we've ever had .

Large venue with a great atmosphere, lots of food options that can cater many dietary requirements. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially the manageress. We had some small plates to snack on and they all were delicious. Pool table and a table football were...available. Drinks were great and a huge range to select from. Very large terrace which I imagine is the perfect hangout spot on sunny days.More

We revisited the old school house and were pleased to see it was back in form. We enjoy the vibrancy of this place with some good sports to watch. Thankfully the doors were shut so we could have a drink without freezing!

What’s wrong with pubs propping doors open? It’s 14 Celsius with a cold wind blowing straight through the pub. There are plenty outside where it’s still sunny and much warmer. We like this pub and the staff but walked out through the blowing gale!

Regularly visited for 10 plus years but recent visits have seen us left wondering why. Reduced menu on offer which is completely fine however when an adult roast is available but a kids roast isn't it does leave you wondering as they contain the same...items. Anyways we ordered our starters and mains which came at the exact same time. Meaning the starters were not enjoyed and also left uneaten. Food was mediocre - portion of chips contained 10 chips (27.9p per chip was a complete rip off). Staff generally not very interested. Ordering via the app left this a very impersonal experience. Always a first choice for us but really will struggle to find a reason to return after today.More
