Went for dinner at The 78 with my partner before going to a gig at the Hydro. We got there about half 5 and it was busy but we got a table. The atmosphere was laid back and we felt at ease there straight away....More

The 78 is probably my favourite vegan place in Glasgow. It looks good, the range of beers is excellent, staff are helpful, and food has always come out of the kitchen quickly and to a very high and consistent standard. However, the very best thing...More

Have been here several times and find the food and service both consistently great. It's fantastic to have such a wide choice of vegan foods, and my meat eater friends always seem very happy and pleasantly surprised. I love the nachos, refried bean chilli wrap...More

Full vegan menu (!!!) and very friendly staff. Busy with an electric vibe about the place, especially once the live jazz band started playing in the evening. Good value for the quality of the food. Tasty, fresh, and made-to-order food. Made for a fantastic evening!

I've been here a few times now and, despite my poor rating, I do like the place. I like the food and I like the atmosphere. But the staff are very much non-plussed. They are pleasant, but they don't seem to bother providing much in...More

I loved this place. I was away for work and on my own but it is just a local friendly hangover. Great food- I had the nachos-I dare any meat eater not to want to eat two bowls !! Then the veggie burger- just a...More

We came in and sat, weren't sure of the service style so went to the bar to order drinks. Was told it was table service and a waitress would take our drinks order (bit odd not to be able to order drinks at the bar??)....More

Since I had to change my diet temporarily to Vegan, I was delighted to find this restaurant. The food is first class; however, the service is appalling: the waiters and waitresses wear casual clothing which doesn't distinguish them from customers. If they were attentive, we...More

I'm fortunate in that the 78 is basically my 'local', and most times I just go here for some drinks. It's a nice place to just relax, especially on the sofa by the fireplace. They usually play good music and it's not too loud for...More

I came in and walked up to the bar at about 3.15 today. I was greeted straight away by a young waitress with a friendly manner asking if I was in for food. I replied yes, but that I'd like to take it away. She...More

Just called them. They don't have a ramp, but they do have a disabled toilet. Apparently they've had people with wheelchairs in before despite the small step at the main entrance. Having been there myself many times, I'd say... More
