Sannio Italian Restaurant & Bar is THE best hidden gem near the Kings Theatre folks. So highly recommended. Confused booking but manager sorted within seconds of arriving for our pre theatre, had saved our table. The manager and staff were so attentive and friendly, great...fun, especially when we had so many requests. the food was excellent, first time in a long time really enjoyed a meal out. As requested starters came with our mains and served very quickly after ordering . The food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Also when we wanted to tip, manager reminded us there was a service charge which was adequate. Now that’s what you want from a good service. Thank you from the mums and chums.More
Vegana pizza with added cheese was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Broccoli risotto was very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. Decor was nice and toilets were clean. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Glasgow.
Had to give details of planned visit to submit review. So let down by this restaurant. Booked several weeks in advance for dinner prior to the theatre. Just been called today (two days before booking) to say they can't honour time, blaming google booking systems,...and needed to change it! Does not suit. Would be a complete rush. First staff member I spoke with said he would look at it again. Few moments later another staff member called to say they couldn't honour time. After several tries, have now booked elsewhere. Will not be returning.More
Dined here last night . Food average . But have never been so cramped at a table for my dinner before . Our bottle of wine had to be kept behind the bar as no room on the table
Service was good. Food was ok. Bit bland. VERY Overpriced for the quality. Front of house decor is poorly executed insufficient lighting. Cramped layout. Toilets were new, nice and clean. Music was awful. More of a cafe than a restaurant for a romantic evening meal.
Had amazing food and service here. We were with a large group and dinner came relatively quick too. Definitely recommended! Our group had the calamari, spaghetti bolognese and salami pizza, as well as some desserts. All well recommended!
Didn't actually get there I booked a table for 5.45 pre theater menu 3 weeks before the arrival only to be contacted on the day that my booking was in fact booked for 4 45 which is not the time I confirmed The gentleman that...called me was rude and would not listen to me the fault was with their booking system not my error consequently I had to make reservation for another restaurant much further out from the venue I had tickets for on the day. I personally would not book again due to the rudness of the staff member very unhappyMore
Cannot say enough good things about this jewel of a restaurant. The decor; the lovely, friendly staff; the excellent attitude of the Manager and all his staff; just a joy. I'd booked lunch in error and changed it to dinner. No issue, we were welcomed...into a fantastic atmosphere and vibe. The food is beyond excellent as is the accompanying wines. I will certainly recommend it and return. Just please come and open in Aberdeen!!!More
Dinner before theatre and this was on doorstep of Kings’. Elected to go for 2 course for £22. My calamari was rubbery. Main of sausage pasta was tasty. Very small restaurant and you get to know those beside you well. Good service!
Eight of us went here for dinner prior to going to the theatre The food, the staff and the atmosphere were all amazing I can't recommend sannios highly enough. Well done. Everyone of us were delighted with our service and delicious food 😋
Lovely lunch before going to the Kings Theatre which is literally across the road. Service was fast, food was tasty and the restaurant is small but cosy and we all really enjoyed our visit.
Went as a meal prior to going to the Kings theatre, been before but would highly rate it as good food, service and atmosphere. Only fault is the tables are quite tight next to each other.
We walked in without a booking, we were told they needed the table back within an hour, but felt absolutely no rush or pressure to finish our meal. Really lovely staff and quick service. Very pleasantly surprised, will definitely recommend and be back.Cocktails were amazing...and the food was delicious! Looking forward to going back.More
First time in this restaurant but hopefully not my last. Had booked here prior to going to Kings theatre on Saturday night so the place was very busy. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly. Service was quick and all the food was piping...hot and absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this lovely wee restaurant.More
