Finally discovered a good Thai restaurant in Glasgow. The food and service were excellent and more importantly everything is spaced out and feels safe. The food is very reasonably priced for what you get (including the ore theatre menu). Avoid the big overpriced chains in Glasgow and support smaller places like this!

Just in Glasgow for one night and we just needed Thai food. This place looked good online and was only a shortish walk away up Sauchiehall Street. The weather was traditional Scottish winter - hard rain / hail, so the warm welcome, warm restaurant, and warm and spicy food really hit the spot for all of us. Even the kids. The staff were lovely, which always makes a place for me. The food was great and pretty good value for two courses in a big city. Very happy.

We came here after reading all the reviews on TA during our trip to Glasgow. We had the early bird menu which was very good value, mussels, Tom yum soup, Thai red curry & pad Thai. They made the tom yum veggie for me by adding tofu. The mussels were delicious. The mains let it down, a red curry is my favourite Thai dish however it was a tad too spicy - and I can handle spice !! For me a red curry shouldn’t be as hot as a green. They have different Asian beers on offer and topped our water up when we ran out. Overall great service and prawn crackers were tasty! Would recommend.

I did once enjoy this restaurant but sadly its gone downhill, if you have issues managment treated me with contempt instead of listening to what my grievance was and making improvments this included: Missing items from take away order Website taking payment when closed, long time to sort out. Website password reset not working I gave them another chance and the take away order took 1 hour and 20 minutes. The food tubs were 1/2 to 3/4 full and when you pay £10 for a curry and get £2 worth of food its outrageous. The prawn crackers were stale The chips has strange smell my kids woukdnt eat them The egg fried rice was not full and didn't seem fried just boiled rice n egg. Terrible. Very dissappointed with food, customer service, delivery times. Highly recommend Chaporayer instead.

Thairiffic
A very warm welcome to the Tripadvisor community Anne. I'm slightly saddened that your first review was not a glowing one for the time when you did enjoy this restaurant and have instead reserved a bad review at this point in time. If you were a past customer, you'd be aware that strong service levels are one of the qualities of Thairiffic, facilitated by continuity in our front house team spear headed by myself and our General Manger Simon for the last 9 years or so. If something isn't quite right, we'll almost always find an acceptable solution/compromise on genuine gripes. If it isn't myself dealing with complaints, it's Simon, and on the odd occasion my wife. None of us have any firm recollection of this specific issue if the event were to have taken place within the last 2/3 weeks. Owing to a lack of recent communication on your end I've found myself trawling through emails for any signs of identifying who you may be or what your order was. The only deduction I can make is that you ordered from our website directly. A month and a half's worth of history trawling later, I've found only 1 email string starting Saturday 19 June 21 with near identical traits. All three of us are now highly confident this relates to you. The only other other explanations is that this is a fictitious sabotage review (first review etc) or someone looking to extort benefits. It started on 19/9 where Simon offered you a free meal set for an error on our side which you gratefully accepted with a response, "You know you're food is so delicious it feels criminal not to pay and you are my favourite restaurant." Your complaint then starts on Monday 21/6. Re website - we are a small family restaurant with limited IT capabilities/resources. The web ordering module was added to our website in response to Covid restrictions as a means of opening revenue streams in order survive. Not a glamourous module as with larger enterprises but functional and effective. We are acutely aware of the website taking payments outwith opening hours and have yet to find the right person to upgrade the payment module that doesn't charge and arm and a leg. As a result the advice to customers, clearly written on the ordering landing page. "Important notes – please refer to our opening times before you place your order". I really can't help you if you still choose not to read or ignore this. The password reset is a bit of a non issue as setting an account has never been necessary to make orders. You are the first person to take issue with what is a surplus function that has 0 impact to the ordering process. Payment resolution delay - we use Stripe to take web orders, and there exists a 2/3 delay for them to process a refund. Refunds are normally instructed within a few hours as we get email notification of orders as they arrive. Your order, for the sum of £13.76, was instructed within a few hours and we wrote an email to the address provided in the order to advise. You then follow up with a very nippy email a few days later chasing us for the £13.76 accusing us of lack of professionalism when it turned out you used your daughters email address to place the order. Further you provided no identification on what appears like a spam email address for us to locate the problem, not even the courtesy of a name of the sender. If the return of funds was that critical you could have called during opening hours i would have been more than happy for you to come round over and have it returned in cash. Delivery delay - this really requires context and again i have no idea when this extra chance was given. As again communicated on our ordering page "Deliveries will normally require between 40-60 mins", and that is assuming that both us and our local independent bike courier partner are on normal loads. By and large we have done well to stick within this timeframe. If it's a busy day/time say Saturday 6:30pm then 1hr 20 is not unreasonable. Without further context I can't fully address this specific instance. Food quality/quantity - We can't amend flips in opinion that go from one extreme to the other. However we do eat/take out regularly (Thai included) to learn and benchmark ourselves. We are satisfied that we have consistently high standards on the food (as well as the service of course) and this is reflected in the repeat custom we observe as well as overall strong reviews across primary review platforms that others can observe. As I said at the start, if something isn't quite right, we'll almost always find an acceptable solution/compromise on genuine gripes. That depends on transparent communication and mutual respect/understanding. If this can be established, I'd be more than delighted to discuss this some more. If not, I hope you find solace with Chaopraya going forwards. Quinnan

We ordered various dishes, coconut soup, mango fresh rolls, coconut rice, sticky rice and massaman curry with tofu and my daughter ordered a noodle dish. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and honestly this meal was up there with the best of them. The food was very fresh and the massaman was excellent. The only thing I would say is after we ate our meal and the staff took away our plates - we left a mess on the table as we shared our food, the staff did not come over and clean it and they would have seen it when they removed our plates - so we couldn't lean our elbows on the table which I was a little disappointed about. Apart from that the service was excellent throughout and the food was outstanding and it really does deserve its 5 stars. (see photos below of the food). The bill came to around £27 each with one bottle of water.

I live this food and although the food here is quite mainstream Thai it is tasty. It is not as fresh or vibrant or interesting as the Thai food in London say at kiln or somsaa but it’s fresh, tasty and portions decent. The staff are friendly and helpful and it’s usually quite busy. I think their somtom is good as is their satay and chu chi talay. Their stir fries seems to come with a sauce which does not seem right but it’s tasty so got eaten. I’ve eaten here quite a few times and it’s consistent.

First ever visit to Thairiffic with family last night, and it most definitely won't be the last visit. Service was excellent and staff very helpful, polite and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. Food and drinks arrived in good time and everything that we ordered was so tasty and full of flavour. The best meal out that I've had in a long time. I can't rate this place highly enough. Highly recommended and worth a visit.

The first restaurant we have visited in Glasgow was thairiffic in sauchihall street. It looked authentic. We were greeted warmly our waitress was lovely and friendly...however the food was inedible...except for the soup. The ribs were tough and the king prawn pad thai were as tough as old boots..tasted like they had been microwaved. We did complain to the waitress when the bill was presented..and the manager didnt even address the situation. We paid full price for our meal...and left hungry with neither an apology or reduction of the bill. My recommendation would be dont waste your money on this substand food

Hi fleecy2013, Thank you for your time in giving us your feedback. I'm genuinely sorry you didn't enjoy the food that day and really hate to see people leave unhappy and hungry from our establishment. After performing our internal investigation with our staff, I have been advised that they followed general restaurant protocols by checking how you liked the food. During the meal they weren't informed you weren't satisfied with the dishes. We definitely could have done more if it had been any implication of dissatisfaction prior to the bill being presented such as changing dishes/ deducting your bill/ etc. Again I apologise the problem was not fixed as the way you would've liked. All I can say is that the staff were puzzled and didn't know how to deal with your complaints towards the end of the service. Giving us an honest feedback during the service could have solved the issue there and then. I hope you will give us a second chance when you are ever nearby. Many thanks Ming

Very expensive for what you get. Small portions. Tom Yum tasted salty - most likely out of a packet. The Papaya salad was more like a sweat and sour salad - nothing like the Salad you get in Thailand. That said, my kids ate all their food and they are fussy. The Thai staff also are very nice, but they are due visit Bangkok to capture the taste of authentic Thai food.

This is my second visit to Thairiffic with my first being a few years ago but I’m so glad I returned! I don’t often eat Thai food but when I do I would choose Thairiffic over any other Thai restaurant in glasgow!! The food is much better and the staff are so genuine and lovely to talk to. We were served by a lovely Chinese woman from Portugal and a Thai man, it was so nice to have conversations with them beyond your normal service. The food was exceptional, I had the pad Thai and spring rolls. I’m not sure if Thairiffic offer any deals but I would love a mid week deal or something as it is a bit expensive for my budget, so I would come more often if there was a deal on. However I can’t fault it at all and I will be back some day!

eaten here before when visiting the Kings and enjoyed it, however, not been here for three years due to pandemic. Will not be coming again. I have had thai food on numerous occasions in many different restaurants and this was a huge disappointment. what I love about thai food is the different flavours and textures you get from the food with or without the spiciness. My spicy yellow fish curry was like a soup and the textures......best not to describe. There were four of us and no one particularly enjoyed their meal. I cannot recommend this place, as I did before, I am sure that there are many better restaurants

I have eaten here many times over the years and have always loved it. We were staying near George Square but decided to make the walk up as we knew it would be worth it. We were initially the only diners (Sunday night) but were made to feel welcome and a few other tables arrived not long after us. Our starters and mains were both delicious and the service was lovely too. For the quality of the food and portion sizes I find it very good value. We hopefully won’t leave it as long next time to come back. Glad to see it’s still as good as always!

We headed here after seeing good reviews on TA. We entered and were greeted by very friendly staff. It was an early dinner, so we took advantage of their early doors two course special. All the food was wonderfully flavoursome and decent portion sizes for special menu dishes. Highly recommended.
