Just been for a lovely late lunch with my mum. I must admit that when she first suggested going to a "cafe" next to the underground station I wasn't expecting much but the meal we just had couldn't have been better. I had the squid and chorizo salad to start and it was great. Light, fresh and beautifully flavoured. For... More

I had been wanting to try the fish people cafe for years and I don't know why it took me so long! The 2 course deal with wine is excellent value with diverse choices, and the menu changes each season. Both starters were so fresh and delicious. The best dish was the sea bass main, thought everything was cooked perfectly.... More

Much better than what you expect of a "Café", lovely restaurant, attentive staff, well presented and flavourful food, we all had the early evening menu which was great value with a good choice, very fresh and clean, overall perfect, we will be back to enjoy the full offering of the main menu --- soon!.

Once you got over the shock of its location, right beside the subway station then this is definitely fish heaven. You stepped into what resembles a restaurant on a ship and the waiter was so courteous. Absolutely amazing. My oysters were just perfect whilst hubby's smoked salmon was brill. I opted for scallops and hubby decided on the sea bass.... More

Excellent food, the Cullen Skink was very good in fact everything we ordered was very good. It's a bit pricey for a non city centre restaurant but I'll be back. Recommended.

Booked a table for 4 people based on previous recommendations and so glad we did.I brought my son,who loves seafood, despite being vegetarian myself. From the moment we arrived,we were greeted warmly, seated at our table and the waiter promptly filled our glasses with cucumber water. Our drinks order was taken promptly and advised of the specials on offer. We ordered the spiced tomato, roast pepper... We have turned up unbooked twice and not got in. This gives you your first indication of what to expect. Lovely staff. Restaurant is tiny but you are not squashed in. There is an eating at bar option. Food excellent but it is fish. Don't go and whine if you don't like fish! There was choice in the menu from... More

We went to the Fish People Cafe for the second time in three years. The food was good and tasty, particularly the Cod special and the squid and chorizo. We live locally and know that the fishmongers which is next door and presumably part of the same company serves an amazing range of seafood so we are surprised that there... More

I've been here before and always had fish n chips. This time I decided to go wild: hot smoked salmon salad starter, Barra scallops for mains and fudge ice cream. Not huge helpings but given my dicky digestion it was perfect for me. Very discreet, friendly and professional service as always. I like that they don't want to rush you... More

Gem of a seafood restaurant. Early evening dinner with friend. Lovely menu...my starter of smoked mackerel and pickled veg looked too pretty to eat, attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff. Waiter helped us choose a lovely wine to complement our chosen dishes. Great that it is only a few minutes on the subway from city centre....we were both hungry from missing... More
