Hadn't been her for quite a while , and will never be back . As mentioned in previous reviews ,the reason being the unbelievably rude barman / owner with the waistcoat on. This guy finds it impossible to say please or thank you , and handed my change to me without even looking at me. There are too many better... More

Most of the staff there are right enough, but the man who I presume is the owner is pretty rude, doesn't say please or thankyou, snatches your money and in general has a pretty unfriendly, abrupt manner which isn't really a great bunch of qualities for a bar tender, as well as the fact he started serving someone else whilst... Had a great lunch here for a cycle stop. Big plateful of good food. Nice beer too. Lovely spot. Good outdoor seating area to enjoy the sun too

When you enter Lock 27 the atmosphere is always laid back and reminiscent of Cheers while the food is always original but with a gourmet spin. The dishes are not predictable, but unbelievable! Although I miss the old menu the new menu has the same "wow factor". Loch 27 does not have a play area, it’s more about creating atmosphere... More

Stopped here whilst cycling the Forth & Clyde Canal in a hot March day. Great wee rest stop to sit and watch the canal flow by with ducks, swans and other random things! We didn't have food or alcohol but there were plenty around us who were. Can only be a good sign! Will need to pop up for a... More

Worse pub ever had the misfortune to enter... Used to visit regularly.. After this visit it's our last..Rude barman. Took all his time to serve us. What happened to customer service. Cannot understand why anyone still drinks in this establishment. Has gone right downhill.

Used to come here a lot for good food and great atmosphere. Sadly this is no longer the case, the menu is basic and the decor is dated. The best thing about this place is dj George on a Friday night, banging tunes and great guy!

I live locally and have been a number of times to Lock 27. Whilst the food has always been to a v good standard and it is a nice spot to sit outside on the canal on a sunny day I always come away feeling that the place could be so much more than it is. The general place could... More

Dropped in here with a friend for lunch .First and last time. Should have turned back as we opened the door when we were almost overcome with the all-pervasive smell of disinfectant. What required to be disinfected to that extent and why ? Anyway , we were pointed in the direction of a free table by a gentleman whom I... More
