Been in 3 times now, every time slow to get drinks, slow to be able to order food, awkward staff clearly can't be bothered. You get given the bill without being asked if you want desert or anything else, never offered refills, hard to get attention from staff. Walked out tonight after being ignored for far too long, seated and... More

I have been going to the Loon Fung on and off - apart from when it was closed fro refurbishment after a fire - for about 40 years. The food has always been tremendous but the new owners have taken it to new heights. The food is authentic, delicious and freshly cooked. The dim sum are exquisite. I had tripe... More

I visited here for a takeaway under recommendation. We ordered 3 starters and at £5.50 each and a main at £14.50. This is expensive for the area so we were disappointed when we got home are realised the portions were minuscule. The ribs were particularly bad with about 10g of pork to 100g of bones. Butchers are more generous than... More

This is the most authentic Chinese restaurant I have ever been to - not nearly as 'westernized' as most Oriental restaurants in the UK. It also had a substantial proportion of Chinese people among the customers,, which is usually a very good a sign in my experience. Not every dish was appealing to me - chicken feet or sweet and... Ever since visiting an authentic Chinese restaurant in Manchester some 5 years ago I have been hoping to find one nearby to where I live. Anyway I was recommended by a Chinese friend a place called Loon Fung in Glasgow as it has a slew of authentic Dim Sums.So on my return from the Highlands I dropped by. It all... More

I have been a visitor to the Loon Fung for years now and was sorely disappointed with the meal today at lunchtime. Chicken curry with fried rice was very bland. Stringy pieces of chicken and the sauce had no kick to it whatsoever. May give this place a miss for a while. I realise they were busy but the food... More

We were advised to try this restaurant for Dim Sum by a friend for lunch during a weekend away in Glasgow. From the outside it doesn't look too promising, almost at the end of Sauchiehall Street with an unobtrusive entrance. Inside doesn't get much better, no windows and quite dark decor. But the food and service were great, we picked... More

We found this little gem in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street when we were looking for a pre theatre dinner. The portions were excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly. We went in when the restaurant was quiet but by the time we came out, it was buzzing, mainly with Chinese customers who were tucking into their food. Extensive... More

they put too much salt, MSG, and oil in all of their dishes. the staff could have been more polite. but thankfully, they still provided free slices of oranges to neutralize the weird sensation their food left in customer's tongue
