This is my 2nd time to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Both times I have been attending the Kings which is a stones throw away from this venue. On this occasion I was with my mum. Our travel arrangements to our booking of 16:45 did not go according to plan so we were running late. No issues telephoned the Restaurant they held our booking as long as we could finish for 18:30 which was not a problem. On arriving we were a little bit frazzled however no worries, the staff including Tricia made us feel so welcome and relaxed. We had the Haggis Trio which is a favourite of mine and Burger both of which were delicious. We ate downstairs which is very intimate as you are seated close to other diners. This makes, in my opinion, for a pleasant atmosphere and we spoke to a lovely couple sitting to next to us. Tricia along with other staff made us feel really special and could not do enough to make our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Will be back. Thanks to all the staff we spoke to or were served by you made our day out extra special.

Visited the Mini Grill for the first time with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the full experience. Staff were full of fun and really accommodating. We asked for a dish that shouldn’t have been available but they made it happen which really delighted one of our party. The food was exceptional. A wide variety of dishes offered between the six of us and not one negative element to the whole experience. Highly recommended and will certainly book again

Angus beef is of Scottish origin, and Mini Grill is a reasonably priced (I don't say cheap, because nothing is cheap for the UK) and very good value for money. You have 6 or 6 meat options, and I chose the entrecote with bone (medium), with fries and a wine sauce. Great! Very good service, and friendly local.

I'm appaled at how bad this meal was. Came here for a birthday meal for my partner - left a note stating it was a bday. We ordered the sharing tomahawk - waited one hour !!! For food. One whole hour - the restaurant wasn't even at 40 percent capacity on a Saturday night that's when you know somethings up. The steak literally smelled off. It was vile - overcooked slab of meat. Never ever again. The chips were vile smelled like old oil. We were offered a free drink but who wants to wait an hour on food? Super disappointed. Over 100 quid for a bone for our dog lol hysterical. Waitress and staff were kind but by my God never again. What a horrendous experience. The steak genuinely smelled like it had been lying out for days like off meat. I complained about it but was told the meat is cooked in stew juices - strange. Was given 10 percent off the bill but wow - save your money go elsewhere and get an actual meal what a disgrace. They also never brougut a dessert or candle for my fiancées birthday which I requested said I would pay extra - terrible service. Disgusting food.

We decided to give it a try l went for the fillet steak medium which came medium well delivered on a cold plate the chips were the star of the show and the pepper sauce was disgusting. What steak restaurant worth there salt mixes haggis with a pepper sauce. And it wasn’t even warm My wife had the Sunday roast which was a cut of steak sliced nothing like a Sunday roast although the vegetables were cooked nicely. To be perfectly honest this is an average steak restaurant at best and for that reason it’s a 5 out of 10 big improvements required.

Came to celebrate my partners birthday and on arrival we were greeted and offered a celebratory fizz which was really nice! When we sat down and within five minutes we were asked if we were ready to order by a blonde woman who seemed to be in a hurry, instead of taking drinks she wanted everything at once, we asked for five minutes and got asked 3 mores times a few minutes later if we were ready and we felt extremely rushed. Within 8 minutes of placing our order the first course came and after that it was only 5 minutes our steaks came. The food was great, however, the service was bad! My partner noticed staff constantly passing and staring to see if he was finished and was asked twice if he was finished when he clearly had not and was just trying to enjoy his meal and he just get watched all the time and extremely rushed. If you want to come for fast food steak then I would come here because we were finished our entire meal in under an hour! I also ordered a mocktail that never came again from the blonde woman who just seem to be chaotic even though the resturant wasn't even full with 8 empty tables! We went elsewhere for dessert as we were sick of being hurried along for our celebratory evening! I would not recommend and would not be back just because of the service !!!

We had really been looking forward to this when we chose it as an alternative to our usual Miller & Carter booking, but alas, it really is NOT the best steakhouse in Glasgow that they so readily advertise.
They’ve tried to squeeze too many tables into a small space, meaning we were crammed into a tiny corner table behind a table of six. The proximity meant our waitress couldn’t actually get to our table, and instead chose to communicate over my shoulder. Pre-lunch drink service was slow which set the tone for the afternoon. Ordered our food and wine. Wine was opened behind us without checking if it was the correct one, and of course it wasn’t! Starter was okay without being anything particularly special. We then had a 45 minute wait for our main course to arrive. Presentation was pretty pathetic considering the £85 price we were being charged for the Tomahawk steak we were sharing. During our wait for the main course the temperature in the entire place plummeted, and at least half the restaurant started putting their coats back on! We were informed that this was because of the smoke from the grill, and they had had to open doors to clear it. (-1 outside with snow on the ground!) Even overheard the staff complaining about how Baltic it was!)
We left without having desserts or coffee as the entire culinary experience was so dire.
Some positive signs of potential from the kitchen, as the quality of the food wasn’t bad, however front of house is just a disaster, with absolutely no professional presence evident. When we raised the issue of the temperature, the waitress suggested I let her know if it got any worse and I needed a cuddle!
All in all, it was one of the worst Glasgow restaurant experiences we can remember in the last 10 years, and suffice to say, we will not be returning in a hurry.
If you’re looking for a steakhouse experience, try Miller & Carter. The price point is similar, but the experience is head & shoulders above what we experienced. A real shame, because it does have the potential to be much better, with just a few tweaks.

Having seen the reviews, thought I would give it a try. Xmas menu £44.95 per head. Starter of scallops mediocre at best, main course of chicken supreme was very boot 2 small pieces of chicken probably not even 1 breast between them. The whole plate was covered in a gravy trying to mask the accompanying veg which killed any taste from either the limited chicken or the veg. As for the sweet of panacotta a 2 inch diameter sweet on a 12 inch plate. They only seemed to be interested in pushing the drinks.

Hi I couldn’t rate this establishment any higher than allowed to unfortunately ; their customer service is above and beyond I booked in error for the Friday evening of the 30th August instead of Saturday the 31st of August as it dawned on me on the morning of the 31st August when I had a missed call from the restaurant when I noticed my error I re-booked for the Saturday night accompanied with an email of apology as they take a deposit of £10 per person I had to pay another £20 . £40 in total I paid the restaurant kindly put that towards the final bill
The food is beautifully cooked and presented and the service is outstanding the waiting staff could not be any nicer or more helpful particularly Leyla and Tasha we will be going back sooner rather than later as I like the intimacy the restaurant provides

We were in Glasgow 3 nights and had dinner here twice! That should be an indication of our appreciation of Mini Grill. From the Pork Belly starter to the venison, steak and risotto mains, we found the food delicious. We especially enjoyed Tricia as our server as she provided insights to the menu as well as suggestions to make our stay in Glasgow memorable. Glenn received high marks for his martinis. My wife was thrilled that they were so accommodating to those that have to eat gluten-free. All in all, a totally enjoyable experience - both times!

The Beef Sunday Roast was so delicious. The beef was tender and the array of vegetables delicious and perfectly cooked. The sauces (au jour and bone marrow) added to the flavor. The waitress recommended a caramel meringue dessert that was fantastic as well. I dine out a lot and it was in top 5 meals out. Really, really good. Tannah, Tasha and Esther were efficient and friendly serving and giving recommendations when asked.

Although this restaurant was kind enough to accommodate us on Mother’s Day when the restaurant we booked went on fire 15 minutes before our booking there are issues that require addressing .
Staff were helpful and accommodating . The tables in the downstairs where we were seated were dingy either cold or hot not the fine dining that are reflected in the prices . The plates are designed to fit on the narrow tables
The wine prices are well over inflated at £50 a bottle.
The food that took over 40 mins to plate a steak was ok nothing to write home about .
We won’t be returning and very disappointed .

Lovely family dinner here ahead of my son's 21st. A hidden gem of a restaurant. Steaks were fantastic, large portion sizes and pricing favourable compared to other steak houses. Atmosphere and service much better and more personal than chain steak houses. Loved the little Scottish touches like the Billy Connolly tape playing in the loo!

Outstanding lunch at this restaurant. I attended with 2 business colleagues and we were warmly welcomed to the restaurant and shown to our table.
Service throughout was friendly and excellent.
The food was superb. I had the 450g sirloin which was perfectly cooked and great value for a massive cut of meat. My fellow diners both opted for the venison and described it as the best venison they have ever had.
We then all bass the puff candy desert which was superb
Overall a great experience.
