This restaurant is always busy so it’s best to book in advance. There’s plenty to suit all tastes in the menu including a choice of soup. There are even breakfast rolls available all day . There’s plenty of sandwich choices too. There’s an amazing array...of cakes on offer . The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Can’t beat it.More

We came upon Oakwood when we were out for a drive. We decided to have some lunch but unfortunately hadn’t booked. The waitress was very helpful and found us a table and advised we could have it for 50 minutes. Pretty good as the service...was very good and that was lots of time for a quick bite. Great soup, good coffee etc what’s not to like?More

It was ok, not great. We all (4 people) had something different and each wasn’t great to be honest. I’m surprised it was so busy. Nice setting and would be lovely in the summer to sit outside but I wouldn’t just go for the food.

We have just returned from lunch at Oakwood Garden Centre. We have started to use this restaurant quite regularly, at lunchtime, and enjoy our visits, both during the week and at weekends. The food is always fresh, very tasty and reasonably priced, and the service from...all staff is prompt and attentive. The lady, who I think is responsible for the running of the restaurant, is always very friendly and efficient and demonstrates excellent customer service skills. We will certainly continue to visit Oakwood, as the lunch experience is always very positive.More

Not the best stocked garden centre but well worth a visit for the restaurant. Fantastic views over the hills and we were very impressed with the quick but pleasant service from all the staff. We hadn't booked but you might want to on a Sunday...as it was quite busy. Food nicely presented and we also had cakes too. Cauliflower and Stilton soup was lovely. Fab selection of cakes! Very reasonably priced - 2 teas, soup and sandwich. toastie and 2 cakes for £23.50. Please note there is a lovely gift shop but very few Christmas things due to difficulties with Covid.More

Lovely garden centre, full of beautiful plants. However mainly popped in for Lunch. Very spacious dinning area, not congested. Had a coronation baked potato, absolutely delicious. The best I have ever had. Lovely staff, very pleasant. Slightly out in the country and off the beaten...track. But worth the effort.More
