To say this is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to under sells it. This is without doubt one of the best dining experiences I have had and is a steal for the price when the quality of food is considered. I have been here twice now on my visits to Glasgow and the food is devine.... More

Before going to see a show at SSE we stopped by here for some dinner after reading reviews on TA. After arriving we found out there was in fact two restaurants and the one we had phoned was Mother India Cafe and not this one, but we were seated anyway. Nice setting downstairs and waiter was very helpful initially. We... More

The old atmosphere within the upstairs part of the restaurant is warm and friendly with a well stocked bar The ground floor is currently under renovation and I cannot wait to see the transformation It also has a basement restaurant The staff are very attentive to your every whim The menu is small but very varied You must try the... Business dinner with 10 colleagues. Food was very good quality - and the portions were huge. Would definitely consider only having a starter and main course if you are hungry - or be prepared for a doggy bag. As someone who doesn't eat much Indian cuisine I wasn't sure what to go for on the menu, and ended up choosing... More

We booked into Mother India for my partners birthday after multiple recommendations from our friends. When we arrived we were seated straight away and the room had a lovely atmosphere. We ordered and were given free starters which were really tasty. However the crab roti starters we ordered were a little underwhelming. My partner enjoyed his main, however I ordered... More

I visited here with a group of friends and we were lucky enough to be given a private room (which I'm sure you can book in advance). The portions were very generous and well priced. Between the 6 of us we covered most of the menu and without exception everything was delicious! ☺ The table staff were on the ball... More

We turned up for our reservation at 8.15 on Saturday night to be told our table wasn't ready. After being made to stand in a drafty corridor for over 30 minutes getting in everyone's way, we were then told it would be after 9pm. They then also had the nerve to tell us that a group of 28 would be... More

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a 21st birthday. There were 12 of us and had to book. We dined in the basement restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and varied. The starters were clearly very freshly cooked and the main courses varied and tasty. We have been in the habit at visiting Mother India's Cafe.... More

We've been going to Mother India for 20 years and never had a bad meal yet. We were back there last week for a quick dinner pre an event at the Hydro and were reminded once again just how good and how consistent Mother India is. We usually go for the Butter Chicken - big chunks of moist chicken with... More
