Just returned from an evening meal alone here and I am stuffed.....I ordered too much! I went with a main and side dish from their favourites menu, Chicken Saag and Thaka Dhal. Both were good but I particularly liked the chicken saag. The rice was ok but not outstanding. Had poppadoms, spiced onions and mango chutney for a starter, these... More

Managed to get a booking for Saturday night. Food was sublime. We had the paneer as a starter. Very tasty with quite a kick. Would highly recommend the chicken and spinach dish. By far the tasty moreish curry dish I have ever experienced. Also had the ginger and chilli prawns which were very nice but winning dish by miles was... More

The food was excellent you can have small or large portions so you can try most things on the menu. It is bring your own bottle. They have a large restaurant that opens at 6.00pm but the smaller resturant down stairs that opens early. I would highly recommend the food and very reasonabley priced.

I was in Glasgow recently and a close friend recommended visiting Mother India. A group of us were looking for a place to eat and I proposed this recommendation to a party of 7 hungry men who would most definitely be 7 angry men had Mother India been a disappointment. Luckily for me they all enjoyed this venue, it's food... More

We had a lovely meal here. Despite arriving before it opening time, we were seated right away by the very friendly staff. The food was delicious and obviously freshly made. The vegetable pakora was among the best I've tasted and the two curries we shared were full of flavour and a lovely blend of spices. Be warned, however, as the... More

This is an excellent restaurant - just thought I would add my praise to all the other marvellous reviews on here. I honestly think its the best Indian meal I've ever had. can't wait to return! My husband and I shared the slow cooked lamb and it was out of this world. Bravo all.

The fantastic food and service was complimented with a beautiful wood panelled room. The menu is excellent, not just the usual choices, they have some fantastic options which I had never seen before and all were clearly traditionally made on site. The chef was happy to even make anything off menu which he kindly did for one of my party.... More

Went here with my wife and her parents for a midweek dinner and we were all very impressed. None of us are strangers to Indian food so when the parents-in-law said it was the best they'd ever had then that's high praise indeed! My main course was lamb musallam which was two colossal hunks of lamb with an aubergine based... More
