We picked Steak & Cherry randomly since reviews seemed good and it was right near us. Best choice we've made all day. With such a varied menu, I've usually found that to mean mostly frozen, premade/ straight from a supplier type food. Definitely not the case. The homemade lasagna was absolutely delicious. My partner had the Steak & Cherry Legend burger and we were both impressed with how fresh and flavourful it was. Both meals were under £15 each so excellent value for what was paid as well. Next time we're in Glasgow, I'd absolutely come back.

My group and I got in late from a flight and needed food badly. We passed Steak & Cherry which was empty, so we were a bit skeptical but didn’t want to walk any further. Our group of 6 was served quickly with both drinks and food. I order my steak blue-rare, which is often done poorly, but Steak & Cherry did a great job. Take a pass on the Shrimp Bruschetta, it could be done better, but the steak cuts are good for the price. The Bang Bang Chicken is mid-range spice with a slow burn, but worth a try. The course menu allows you to pick 2 or 3 items at a discounted rate. Try the coffee gelato, it’s delish! We all had to pay separately due to business claim procedures and the staff was more than happy to make that happen.

Booked a table here for after a matinee at Kings Theatre. The reviews looked good so took a chance. So glad that I did! I had a very particular Father in Law with us and I was worried how the evening would go. I really shouldn’t have worried! The menu is lovely. I had Bang Bang chicken to start and it was delicious! Spicy and yummy. The chicken and peanut butter soup was lovely too. Top marks to the waitress/waiters they were very attentive and fun. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and I will deffo be visiting again.

We were recommended here as a decent steakhouse. On arrival, we were taken to the table and we had to ask a member of staff for drinks menu about 20mins after our arrival. Cocktails were not too bad. We ordered starters which where delicious. We all ordered fillet steaks (medium). Fillets were tiny, tasteless, soooo tough to cut through and so dry. Chips were soggy. We returned these and chef came to our table to apologise and state its the meat he was given to work with(!) a chef should never put meat out he isnt happy with himself. We were then given the chateaubriand which was better, however, highly seasoned with pepper. The quality of meat is terrible. We also had to find a member of staff to ask for more cutlery! When asking for the bill they attempted to charge us for 3x fillet steaks! When questioned they only took £16 off the total bill! Diabolical customer service, noone came near us to ask if meal was fine, if we required extra drinks etc. Staff dont seem to have a clue whats going on. Definately will not return to this place- should possibly have rang alarm bells when booking online the vast amount of availability there was for a Saturday night!!

Very poor customer service. I rarely write a bad review but this time I need to warn others. We had the worst experience ever .popped in for dinner and that was disappointing after all we heard about this place. Ordered steaks with peppercorn sauce ,We received greasy ,overcook steaks on dirty plates !! We couldn’t finish our meal .when we asked for the bill it came 15 minutes later.(slow service for a busy Saturday) When paying our bill ,waiter didn’t even ask if the food was okey We won’t be back .

We visited Steak and Cherry last Saturday evening as we were going to a show at the Kings Theatre. We chose Steak and Cherry purely for its close proximity to the theatre (200m) and time be fair it’s a very large premises which was fairly busy but we were attended to swiftly and seated in a nice booth table which we like for the privacy factor. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food I’d say was typically pub food - not great but passable for a quick pre-theatre dinner. Do not go here expecting nouvelle cuisine or you will be disappointed. I am attempting to give an honest opinion of this restaurant and I’ll finish off by saying - I would revisit Steak and Cherry again if I was going to the theatre for its proximity and the staff’s friendly manner. Went to Steak and Cherry for the last day of eat out to help out (31stAugust). Throughly enjoyed our meal, my sirloin steak was cooked just as I asked, and the chips were much better than than usual frozen ones I've had at other steak places. My wife's beef stroganoff was very tasty. The menu prices are reasonable (obviously great value with eat out to help out), and the staff were friendly. Will return in the future.

I had heard this place was worth a visit and decided to give it a try. It was disappointing . Overcooked supermarket prawn in an overcooked batter. We ordered our steaks which was salty , greasy And overcooked to what we wanted and side chips was very soggy. My Suggestion Do yourself a favour and go to Miller and carter restaurant for a good steak. Wouldn’t race back.

Wow....what can you say about this independent Steak House. We came across this Steak House whilst venturing along Sauchiehall Street looking for a decent place to eat. We hadn't booked and were fortunate enough to be offered a table and served by the lovable, utterly professional and attentive waiter named Rinkesh. We decided to push the boat house and try the Tomahawk Steak 32oz which was £79.95 enough for two people. We also ordered the Ribeye Steak 5oz which was £16.95. The Steaks were devine, probably the best succulent steak we have ever tasted, cooked to perfection and utterly delicious. The place opens 12.00 noon daily and stays open till 1.am in the morning but on Friday and Saturday you are welcomed till 4.am. What a lovely restaurant, late bar establishment. Place had a lovely ambiance, very clean throughout and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely highly recommend.

We have never felt so rushed to get in and out as quickly as possible. The whole dinning experience was rushed from taking our order to our mains coming out as soon as we'd finished our starters. There was no customer service, the waitress did not enter in to any conversation or even crack a smile. The place is not for familys with it resembling a back street night club with dim red lighting. The furniture is very worn and needs updating. The hotdog my daughter ordered was served in a rock hard baguette style bun which wasn't appetising. We were also nearly over charged at the end. We would not return.

I chose this restaurant as it is listed on the taste card. We had read previous reviews on here so already had in mind what we were going to order. Wow so glad we did!! The bang bang chicken was amazing! Best starter I have had for a long time. We both ordered philly steak for mains and were not disappointed. It was delicious too accompanied with homemade triple cooked chips. The food was absolutely amazing as were the staff. I would definitely recommend this place. The meal was washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of red wine! Perfect evening 🍷

Food was great service was poor. Honestly I felt like the staff ignored us. I went up to the bar to ask for drinks and was told that I couldn’t order at the bar and had to wait at table. Waited nearly 45 mins for food to arrive. The kids meal dessert was forgotten, we order after dinner drinks but had to cancel them because we were late for our show. Asked for the bill and then waited for the card machine. Ended up going up to the bar to pay because they forgot to bring the machine. Our bill was £188+ like I said the food was really tasty but it seemed like the serving staff could not be bothered. Gutted.

Dear Camper Thank you for the review, I am that glad you enjoyed the food. I personally apologise for the services you have received. In the future please inform me and I will attend to the matter asap. Being the busiest day of the month we may have been extra staff short hence communication lost during the busy service. Please do revisit and when booking, ask for myself Kevin and I will ensure everything will go smoothly. You can also email me directly kevin@steakandcherry.com. Regards Kevin

My partner and I visited this American style steak house about a year ago and we were so impressed we agreed we would definitely have to return the next time we were in Glasgow and we stayed true to our word when we visited the City a couple of weeks ago. And I am happy to report the food and service was just as exceptional as before. Our steaks were once again cooked to perfection and our waiter was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately on this occasion we did experience a small blemish with our dining experience. We decided to order desserts and we were both hugely disappointed. Both desserts arrived cold when you would normally expect these particular desserts to be warmed up and they both tasted like they had been stored in the fridge for some time. This aside, it has certainly not put us off returning again in the future. This is undoubtedly one of the best steak houses I have ever frequented. However, I will almost certainly give the desserts a miss next time around.

My partner & I visited this restaurant on the last night of a weeks stay in Glasgow. If we had visited earlier in the week we definitely would have returned for a second visit. The food and service was exceptionally good. Both our steaks were cooked to perfection and it was my girlfriends opinion it was the best steak she had ever had. The accompanying tomatoes, chips and garlic dips were also very tasty. The young blond haired waitress who attended our table was very friendly, helpful & attentive. I also liked the American style layout of the restaurant which provided the option of sitting in booths or at tables. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience and if I ever return to Glasgow, which I hope to in the near future, I will definitely be dining here again.

I gave this place a 2nd chance after having a meal in it before... Big mistake. I ordered a medium rare fillet and when it came, it was so small. I cut it open to check how it was cooked to be met with what I can only describe as leather. After trying a bit, it was so dry and not what I had ordered at all. I have never sent a thing back in my life however if I was paying £32.95, I wanted it to be right. After explaining that it wasnt cooked to what I had asked for, I then got another steak brought over, this time a bigger cut. Cut it open again to find it blue. Cold to touch inside, again not what I had asked for. Chips were the homecooked chips your mum used to make from potatoes and deep fat fry them back in the 90's, no flavour, nothing. Steaks were dreadfully not seasoned. I can without a doubt buy a better steak in Asda for a fraction of the price and have more chance of cooking it perfectly myself than their 'chef's' did. To have the word 'steak' in the name of the place is a joke. Absolutely will never return to this place. I suppose I should have known, considering it was the only 'steak' place with decent availability in Glasgow on a Saturday night.
