Very different from "your typical Indian restaurant" Confronted with an unfamiliar menu the host was very helpful in suggesting starters and main courses. The spice was just right as it allowed all the flavours to come through without being overwhelmed by heat. I did not...More

First off... without a doubt... THE tastiest indian food I've ever had. I'm not usually one for going out for a curry - doesn't really float my boat, but we went here with a group of friends and crikey it was just delicious. There were...More

The first time I have had Indian food that I haven't cooked myself in 3+ years since I was diagnosed. It was worth the wait. Having the run of a full menu where even as a vegan/vegetarian I have full choice is amazing. The taste...More

Dakhin is much more than a curry house - it offers a wide range of excellent and delicious authentic south Indian food. The service is good, and ambience attractive. Really superb food which is true to its place of origin.

Yes children are welcome. I'd imagine if you phoned the Restaurant Manager before your visit, he or she would arrange something for you. They are most helpful and very friendly.

Established in 2004, Dakhin was the first authentic South Indian restaurant in Scotland. Set amidst the centre of Glasgow's Merchant city district, it offers diners a vast array of speciality dishes from India's southern region. We're talking about authentic recipes using fresh natural ingredients from award-winning chefs. Food worth talking about, and a warm dining experience to savour. Dakhin proudly features within the Michelin Guide and comes highly recommended by many food critics. If you are looking for something different from your run of the mill Indian restaurant then you'd best be sure not to miss out.
