Recommend by a friend who is Scottish and a former work colleague When we were given the menu, our expression must have shown that we didn’t recognise anything at all. The owner gladly explained everything and suggested dishes that he recommended, even bringing samples to try. All...four of us cleared our meals, then agreed that it was one of the best Indian restaurants that we have ever eaten at. Will definitely be back on our next visit to GlasgowMore
A good restaurant. Service excellent. The restaurant has excellent and authentic South Indian food Nice ambiance Recommended
Absolutely fabulous! Food was divine, salivating thinking about it 😂 We were a group of three and a half (10). They were so lovely to my son who was struggling after a long day trekking around Glasgow shops. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful with...food choices - they made my dish spicier on request 😍 Will be back as soon as we can with another adult as the tasting menus looked spectacular! Thank you for a lovely experience. Highly recommend. Friendly, welcoming and delicious!More
First visit and will not be the last. Different and superior to the usual Indian fayre to be found in Glasgow. Whilst it is pricey, food and portions and service fully justify the prices. I had the Yetti Masala and the prawns were decent sized...in a nice spicey sauce. Unless you have a huge appetite one portion of the rice would do 2 people. They also do a lunch menu which looks like good value. Highly recommend.More
Authentic South Indian. This place gives u authentic South Indian cuisine. A very strong South Indian feel to d place. D best South Indian in d whole of Scotland.
Our son has celiac disease, so Dahkin was a must visit during our trip to Glasgow. We didn't do the tasting menu, but probably should have after everything we ordered. Most everything was great, except the flame cooked fresh prawns which had a mushy texture....Paper dosa was an impressive centerpiece for the table. For dessert I asked if the gulab jamun was gluten free, but the waiter didn't seem to know, so be cautious if you're a celiac and not just a GF fan. Had plenty of leftovers to take with us. Fun and pricey family meal we'll never forget.More
Food was phenomenal, and if it’s possible, the service was better. I was traveling solo but the staff made me feel right at home. Clearly buddies with a lot of the locals (hugs and handshakes with patrons left and right). Just a top notch place...all around.More
We ordered from the pre-theatre menu as it’s cheaper (2 courses for around £17). My starter was a bit tasteless, which was disappointing. I had a veggie curry for my main, but it only had potatoes and a few bits of tomato in it, so...was a bit dull. The dosa was nice, something I’ve never had before. They don’t have a children’s menu, but said they could make us up anything. They charged £15 for rice, chicken and sauce for a child under 2. Pretty poor. Overall wouldn’t go back as have had better Indians elsewhere.More
I have been a long time customer of this place for years and previously enjoyed excellent relationships with the staff. I had an issue with my bill which could have been rectified easily. The manager was unhelpful and has as a result alienated my custom.
Went for Mothers 85th. She loves Indian food and is very snobby about it having lived in Singapore and Malaysia. She loved it! Fabulous food, great staff. Highly recommend.
This restaurant was recommended to us, so was our first visit. We opted for the pre theatre menu, which was reasonably priced. The starters of mamsam pepper and chicken Koli were delicious. The mangalore and mysore chilli dishes were spicy in flavour but not too hot....The star of the show was the dosa it was sweet, chewy soft and crunchy. Can't wait to return.More
Excellent authentic Indian food with an interesting and wide variety of dishes. Excellent service and ambiance. Very highly recommended.
Took my son here this week after a taxi driver recommended it to us as we didn't really know where we could get a god curry not being from Glasgow. Not being familiar with South Indian cuisine we asked the waiter who was excellent to...suggest a couple of curries. My young lad had the Mysore Chilli Koli and I had the Venchina Mamsam. Compared to what we are used to back home this was Premier League vs Pub League, we never wanted it to end!! The Dosa we had was the size of a cricket bat and absolutely delicious. Thank you Pete and your superb team.More
This is a restaurant we have eaten in many times over the years and have always enjoyed. However, today was quite different. My wife and I went for lunch and the first thing that surprised us was that there was no lunch menu - a...la carte only. On that menu, starters were priced from £8 with mains from £17. We duly ordered some wine (£23 for the house Shiraz) and then ordered food. This included popadoms which they brought with dips we hadn’t ordered. These were a different item on the menu and priced higher. After 20 minutes we gave up waiting for our food and asked for the bill. Sorry guys, we won’t be back. Oh, and by the way, they charged for the dearer popadoms.More
