We went to the home of chicken tikka masala probably expecting just to say we had been there. In fact it was quite fabulous. Food spot on, service excellent. If you are nearby, give it a whirl.

The Shish provided an excellent welcome, courteous experienced staff and a traditional menu. The food was v v good. The lamb biryani was truly sensational. Lamb bhuna had a v tasty sauce. In each case the meat was perfect. My review was not influenced by the excellent window seat but I just thought how much we'd enjoyed being treated like... More

We have been going to the "Shish" for many years ...probably the same as half the people of Glasgow, however it's got to be the best Indian meal around. No matter if it's just the two of us, as a family or as a group we also get greeted like a family member the minute you pull open the glass... More

Great impromptu meal with friends. All shared the pakora as a starter. Mains included chicken tikka, butter chicken and chicken chasi. All fantastic. Service was brilliant. Attentive staff. Would recommend booking.

Came here with the missus in March. We'd heard of the place as the origin of Chicken Tikka Masala, and we're glad we made the effort to come. She's vegetarian and the selection available to her was massive. She went for a vegetable Chasni, it was quite sweet - which she liked. I had the Chichen Murgh Tikka, which was... More

Just had a recent visit for an evening meal and it was excelllent. We had puppadoms and spicy onions along with a selection of delicious starters. The service was attentive without being intrusive and there was a pleasant gap between courses. There is an excellent and varied selection to choose from the menu including vegitarian. Portions are generous and we... More

Okay the food is unquestionably good. The lamb and chicken meat that we had were so tender. It's like melts in the mouth kind of thing. However, there are a few downside. First, we asked for a pint of lemonade and we only got a small glass and they were flat. The worst part, it was £3.50 each. So we... More

Enjoyable meal in one of the most longstanding restaurants in Glasgow. Portions are a good size and all were tasty. Prices are reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit

We arrived 5 minutes after our booked time only to be told by the manager that our table would not be ready for another 15 minutes. We did not fancy going to a nearby pub for a drink first as he suggested so we walked around the streets until it was time to return. Stuff happens and things don't always... More

Ordered from Deliveroo; they forgot our naan, the pakora was incredibly soggy, the rice was delivered in plastic bags, the chicken was dry and the butter chicken was sickly sweet, not at all what butter chicken should be. Overall it was a terrible takeaway that cost £40.00 - massively overpriced for such bad food.
