Had been given a gift voucher for a Christmas present last year and can't believe it took my husband and I so long to use it. What a lovely meal we had at a very reasonable price. We booked a table at 6 pm and was offered the market menu. I had the most delicious mussel and lemongrass broth then... More

Absolutely loved this small cozy restaurant. We had the seared scallops with black pudding and apple purée as a starter and the steamed mussels as a main course and the food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and the house wine she suggested was perfect for the dishes we ordered. Would highly recommend this place while in Glasgow.

We hadn't been to Two Fat Ladies in Dumbarton Rd for almost a year and visited one very cold Friday night. What a lovely welcome and so cosy inside. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced for what we had. Langoustines were so sweet and juicy and the scallops so flavoursome, quite definitely quality seafood. We finished with the sharing... This is one of our favourite fish restaurants in Glasgow. We have been eating here for years and hardly ever been disappointed with the quality of the food. We both started with the excellent mussels and then my husband had the sausage and mash whilst I had the salmon. Both our main courses were delicious and in generous portions so... More

Had lunch today with two family members. Everything was nice but not great. The serving staff were lovely, attentive and unobtrusive in the small space. The restaurant specialises in seafood but the menu was very limited and a wee bit predictable. Definitely room for improvement. Not a bad experience at all, but there is too much competition for restaurants to... More

We've eaten at a couple of these restaurants and all of them are excellent. We particularly liked this one, as it did quite a bit of seafood which was great for me. It also caters for the meat lovers, so keeps everyone happy. We had a lovely waitress who was really friendly and gave us great service. We had a... More

Had a really good meal here, wondering how 2 fat ladies could squeeze in. The staff are really friendly, and the surroundings are congenial. The food was excellent; The Cullen Skink was authentic, and the soup of the day (sole) was really excellent. The house wines were complimentary, and the tablet with the coffee was really tasty.

This unpretentious small restaurant fulfils all requirements for an evening meal 'out'. The dishes are substantial yet tasty and well presented, the prices very reasonable. Most of all the waitress is charming, drole and efficient. We look forward to seeing her each time we return to Glasgow.

We went for a pre theatre menu and although it was quiet in the restaurant, the place is small and quirky and the service is great so didn't feel awkward. The menu is limited but fantastic quality which was cooked in the kitchen at the front of the restaurant. The Parmesan crusted fish of the day (salmon when we went)... More

Amazing service they were able to fit us in last minute. My husband had the fish and hasn't stopped talking about how great it was. I had the oysters which we lovely. We would definitely go back.
