The best saag paneer I have ever had and I'm still craving it hours later. The butter chicken sauce was like perfect butter soup which I made sure to soak up with my fluffy warm and plush naan that felt so pillowy after each bite. Oh. And they have kingfisher on draft. Seriously considering skipping scotch drinking tonight to go... More

This was my first visit. I had read some of the reviews and had high expectations of the food. I was not let down. We had ten dishes between four of us and sampled all of them. Every one was delicious. We left nothing on any plates. One of us required gluten free and was able to have everything other... More

The concept is great: you order many different small-ish portions of Indian food and you share them, just like you would do in a tapas bar. Great quality of ingredients, very tasty food, good service. This is the place to take those friends who always like to try what is on YOUR plate! You will not be disappointed.

Food was very tasty and prices were reasonably economic. The only disappointing thing was the dosa, which wasn't the same I tried in India. But still, it is a good choice to come and have some nice food here.

Crispy, light pakora and a lovely range of flavours between dishes. The okra was cooked to perfection. The dish of the day wasn't ready, but the waiter was able to recommend an alternative. Portion sizes perfect for sharing and tasting.

Still rocking tastebuds, still delighting, still queuing, still worth the wait. Perfect for a Sunday supper. A special place!

This is our families 30+ visit to Mother India Cafe. It never fails - not once ever and we are curry mad. You can not book - just turn up and wait your turn. Tonight was a particularly long wait 40 minutes but in some ways that makes it even more worth while. The funny thing is that there can... More

Great healthy indian food. The vegetables taste delicious in particular. The service was friendly and very efficient. All sauces are in side dishes so you can choose not to have them or choose the amount of sauce you want. Food presentation was great. Can't fault it for anything. Reasonable prices.

Visited based on the recommendation of a colleague to try the fish pakora, but between two of us (one vegetarian) I think we ended up with five courses plus various sides... that turned out to be far too much given the generous portion sizes but there's nothing I'd have not wanted to try so perhaps the best approach is to... Went yesterday evening with some old University friends on our yearly catch up. Decided to go here after little persuasion from friends.... The food was excellent! A wait of around 30 minutes to be seated but it was worth the wait :-) thoroughly recommended 🏆
