Popped in here on Saturday for a drink, music was good, bar staff very friendly and good selection of drinks at a very reasonable price. Will certainly go back!
If you’re around Metropolitan this is a nice place to sit for drinks. Cool bar and good outdoor seats as well. The price is good but the cocktail presentation is different from the photo display on their bar counter.
Great pub to visit. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and i would recommend it to anyone drinking around merchant city. Definitely will be back.
We went here to see The Roxy Tart Show the bar was very busy but the staff coped well, the show was very funny and at the interval Roxy came around all the tables for a wee chat. we cant wait to go to Marmaris...to see the show againMore
Absolutely this bar, it was definitely our favourite during our 2 day stay in Glasgow. Drinks reasonably priced for a city centre bar. Atmosphere is excellent with a wide range of music being played. The toilets are very clean which is important to us ladies....Staff were really nice and very efficient. Defo give this bar a try when in Glasgow.More
Recently visited and the social distancing measures are in place. Table service, staff helpful and friendly with excellent selection of beers. Gent's temporary toilet left a lot to be desired....
Good bar located in the Merchant Square and Merchant City. Staff friendly, plenty choice of beer hence the name but plenty other drinks if you don't fancy a beer.
Good selection beers but as people have been stealing the glasses you do not always get the right glass for the beer. Beer always tastes better in the right glass Some of the seats had black tape on them where they had been ripped .Prices...reasonable considering you are in the Merchant city. I would go back but more for a lads day out than with my wife.More
Very popular bar in the Merchant City, great atmosphere and music was fabby! Drinks were reasonably priced and service was very good as well
This is one of our favourite pubs. Service is always excellent, bar staff friendly, approachable, and easy-going. If you're a beer drinker, this place is for you. I've never seen such a selection, it's quite incredible, and staff's always happy to make a wee recommendation....There's a great atmosphere in here too. It's a really comfortable place to spend an evening, with space to suit couples or larger groups plus some seating out in the Merchant Square, which is lovely. We've also booked for a larger group of 10 or 12 before, and this was catered for no problem: we had the same friendly service as when in smaller groups, with no delays at the bar or rushed service. The decor has a bit of a retro feel to it and the music is fun and uplifting: usually 80s, but always melodic and fun, never dull. There's a nice food menu as well and we always plan on eating here but get side-tracked by the excellent beer menu and the banter with the bar staff! Love it, looking forward to our next visit. Cheers!More
Friendly staff have recently visited twice. Served promptly great bar and a good atmosphere. Definitely will be back again!
We visited in May 2019 having found it on TripAdvisor. I'm a huge fan of sampling different world beers and Beer Cafe certainly didn't disappoint. They have a huge selection of beers from around the world and I sampled several. (Mythos and Super Bock two...particular favourites) Customer service was excellent, both bartenders were very friendly and knew their beers. The only thing I could say bad about the place is they were out of stock on a few I wanted to try, but that can't be helped! Will definitely visit again.More
In this cosy and very nice place you can have beer in accordance of your taste in sympa company of bunch of locals, the place is great and so does beer here.
We have called in a few times here. Lovely wee place and nice chatty bar staff. I thought with name they only sold beer but they sell everything. We drink gin and they had so many to choose from.
