Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This must be my 4th visit here, and the standard never falls. All tables were taken when we arrived but a lady showed us where to sit until one became available, and one was free within 15 minutes, and she came to fetch us. table...service, and a great choice of soups (no run of the mill soups here!) and nice bread as well. a hefty bowl full and only £10.40 for the two of us. Spotlessly clean, pleasant staff - highly recommended!More

Agree with all the positive reviews with two more to add. Bring water as a matter of course and also allow dogs. Love the Wild Olive Tree

Now very popular, quite understandably so. Wonderful cafe with excellent scones in a range of varieties. Lovely soups and cakes. All homemade. Excellent calm atmosphere in the centre of the city. Staff are lovely. Cannot praise it too much.

A wonderful tranquil oasis right in the centre of Glasgow. The soup, cakes, scones ..... everything is just wonderful. Fresh, full of flavour and served with a smile. Homeless people are given food for free and with dignity so it would be appropriate to leave...a donation as you pay if you are able to although no-one there will press you to do so. Great as a meeting place or for solo dining. A safe, friendly haven which I cannot recommend enough.More

This was a lovely find in the middle of Glasgow, when everything was so busy. It was peaceful. They make all their own meals and give away some to homeless people. It is possible to contribute to this initiative at the till. The staff are...very helpful. On a hot day, the first thing they did was to put a bottle of water and glasses on to our table.More

Popped in for lunch on a wet dismal day - but inside the sun shone ! Had Red Lentil soup and brown crusty bread - really tasty with proper butter. If I am on a solo shopping visit to Glasgow I would normally feel self...conscious going into a cafe on my own but this place is so friendly and welcoming you feel right at home. The staff are lovely and chatty and the ethos of the cafe just emanates throughout the beautiful Church.More

On the basis of the TripAdvisor reviews we stopped at the Wild Olive cafe on a recent trip to Glasgow. Have passed by it so many times, but never been inside. Well, it's the most welcoming friendly place and the coffee and home baking was...amazing. We were in just before midday, and got a table without waiting. It got really busy at lunchtime, which is a good sign of how popular it is. Make the effort to stop, it's a lovely way to decompress from the hustle and bustle of the city. The scones are fabulous!More

Lunched here based on recommendation. Social enterprise inside a church. Great selection of soups, scones, great coffee and tea. If I lived here it would be my place to go. It really is SUPER!! ****************************************

The scones are not vegan, however we do try to always offer at least 2 vegan soups and a couple of vegan cakes. Our lovely sourdough bread from Freedom Bakery is also suitable for vegans.
