This was a first for us but will not be the last.
We are regular visitors to Obsession and have missed the quality and taste of the food during the coronavirus lockdown.
With the restaurant closed for sit in we decided to take advantage of the takeout service.
We ordered spiced onions, poppadoms, chicken pakora and vegetable samosa to share to start. Each dish was fantastic with the taste and quality you would expect from the restaurant. For our main course we had chicken jalfrezi with plain nan and pilau rice. Again all elements of this were delicious with very generous portion sizes which we feel are superb value for money.
Hopefully we will be able to visit for a sit in meal in the near future as the only thing missing was the company of Cammy and Sangeeta who go out of their way to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant.
Until this is possible the takeout service is definitely the way to go and would highly recommend it to everyone.
Keep up the good work guys and take care 😎

My boyfriend and I booked a meal here on a Saturday night after visiting 3 or 4 times previously and being impressed with our experience each time. I cannot fault a single thing. The staff are polite, attentive and offer to make any changes to your meal if it’s not suitable. The atmosphere is perfect with illustrations on the walls, Indian music playing in the background and other contented diners chatting. We ordered popadoms, pakora, curries, rice and naan and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. As well as 2 rounds of drinks, our bill came to around £60 which is amazing for the amount we ate! You can sense the pride the staff have for their restaurant and it’s obvious they care about the experience of their customers. I would recommend everyone to visit here and I will definitely be back.

We booked a table for two half an hour in advance. It seemed a bit hasty and we were worried this meant it was going to be rubbish - it turned out to be the opposite.
We arrived a couple of minutes late but were welcomed graciously. The decor was understated and the background music provided a relaxed ambience.
The food was exceptional (mild, tender, buttered chicken and semi-incendiary garlic chilli chicken, fried rice and naan bread).
Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, we were advised to have only one portion of rice because we would probably not need two. Also, were told if garlic chilli chicken was too spicy, they would substitute with a milder dish (it WAS hot but I ate it with relish because it was AMBROSIAL).
I would recommend the Kingfisher beer as a perfect accompaniment to the dinner.
Well worth a visit.

The Indian curry's were really tasty and we got lots of food for little money. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was really cosy. We enjoyed our evening out in Glasgow and we wish to come back the next time we visit the city!

We ordered a takeaway during lockdown and did a contactless collection from outside the door. Staff were friendly and were adhering to social distancing guidelines. Having tried this restaurant before and not being thrilled, we thought we would give it another go. However, we remained unimpressed. It was expensive compared to some other places we have had delivery from, but the food was not of a higher quality. The tikka masala was strange, and seemed to include an odd mix of vegetables that we would guess are from a frozen veg bag.

Dear bunnyofdarkness,
Thank you very much for your review. Please accept our apology we were not able to meet your expectation.
But we thought we should be clear from our side as well for our genuine and loyal customer.
1. As most of our customer loves our food, we know we cannot make everybody happy (i.e. customer is always right). We are proud of what we do and we are confident with our food. That is the reason we are number 5 in Tripadvisor.
2. We always believe in doing simple, basic, home style food. This means our customers don’t get thrilled or amazed by our food. Because we believe in quality not quantity. I believe this is what simple and basic means. We work with our passions, self-respect and dignity. Our curry do not contain any food colour or has any excess oil even for takeaway meal.
3. We completely disagree about frozen vegetables. Every customers coming to our Restaurant or placing order for takeaway or delivery knows this things. We always advertise ourself as a simple not fancy.
4. Description in Masala its already describe it come's with peppers and onion so we are really disappointed about your comment.
5. Before you buy, you can see the prices on our menu that means you had the choice yourself to not place the order. So We really can’t understand why you were not happy with the price because you said this was your second order to us.
6. This makes us to suspicious if you really order the food with us in first place? We always welcome feedback from our customer. So if you were unhappy on first place than why didn’t you give us the feed back? Also why didn’t you told us anything when placing the order second time? We always welcome the feedback from our customers whether it’s bad or good, because this helps us to get better and better.
We know social media has become the medium for people to express their feelings whether they like it or not.. You expressed your feeling so good luck to you for finding your obsession, because if we can’t please you second time as well. We don’t think we can please you third time as well. So please do not bother to order in our Restaurant again and give us the third chance. We will not be able to fulfil your thrilled and amazed food in our Restaurant.
Kind Regards

My wife and I use this restaurant on a regular basis as we like it so much, but this time we saw that we could visit on an Itison voucher and we thought we would give it a try. We visited the restaurant for lunch.
We were certainly not disappointed we can tell you. We got our usual very friendly warm welcome from Sangita. There was far more choice of curries than we first thought there would be and although there were some supplements e.g. £2 extra for a lamb curry, which is fair enough, we decided on keeping to the voucher menu to see what it was like. We were not disappointed I can tell you!! Sangita even remembered how we both like our curries and they were both superb! We added on bits and pieces that we always like with our curries and the whole meal was absolutely excellent. We would certainly recommend eating here on a voucher if they are still on offer. Yet another terrific experience of wonderful food and excellent service!!

We had bought an Itison deal at the beginning of the year which was redeemable till end of Sept so off we went, slightly nervous about social distancing in such a small restaurant - our fears were misplaced as table settings were placed to maximise space.
Our food was delicious, portion sizes were fair and adding starters made for a very satisfying dinner.
The service was excellent ,they have recently introduced a loyalty scheme - we will be back and thoroughly recommend

Ordered a take away from the restaurant a couple of nights ago.
I had the TarKa Dhal and my partner had a chicken korma. Both curries were really delicious and mine had a fair kick to it.
We shared pilau rice, chips and a garlic naan (which was more like a garlic flatbread).
The order totalled over £30 which we felt was pretty steep for a takeaway. The curries were really good but the garlic nan wasn't the best.

Visited here on a Saturday evening (booking is recommended) as the restaurant was very busy.
The service is professional and friendly and the food is delicious! We had poppadoms to share, followed by a curry dish each with nan bread. Though the portion of curry looked small, it was very filling and absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Booked in on Friday for last night. Sent email on Saturday about allergy i have (lactose intolerant). 9 minutes later received a reply advising there would be multiple choices. Great extremely quick service.
Arrived 10 minutes early. Bit worried incase too early. They were happy to sit us down there and then. We had fish pakora and vegetable pakora which tasted fantastic.
When ordering main course i asked if they could make u a curry with no dairy. Not a problem i was advised and he asked a couple of questions on how spicy i liked it. He then asked if i wanted a surprise and for the main course. Being lactose intollerant i'm always vigilant. I told him to go for it and an incredible delicious meal came out. He advised it is a meal they only make there. Tasted lovely.
I also tried to say thanks a couple of times in Indian and we had a laugh and a joke about my mispronunciation. I can easily say that this is in the top 5, even top 3 of restaurants i have been too.
Having not tasted much indian food before i'll definitely be back. The food and staff were excellent!

Brilliant food. Wife and myself went here for my birthday dinner. We have used the takeaway service all during lockdown. We finally got the chance to sample the restaurant. The food is exceptional. I am fussy when it comes to pakora and I can honestly say the vegetable pakora is the best I have tasted out any Indian restaurant in Glasgow! Very well presented, South Indian garlic chilli chicken tikka is unmatched, chicken tikka is white (none of that horrible red colour) no excess water nothing, rice fluffy and light nan bread soft and warm no dry krust. Desert menu is perfect. Tables adhering to social distancing measures, sanitizer on every table, rustic homely feel, staff attentive and always around without being overbearing. We will return. On a side note thanks to the staff for the birthday cake with no notice was a very impressive touch!

Returned back to this restaurant last night. Got booked via a special deal for £7.00 for a main course plain nan bread or rice.It was a limited but very acceptable menu choice for the money paid. The place was very cosy on entering and got a warm welcome by the staff who remembered us.-a lovely touch.I have got to say the portion sizes were great. The food delicious well presented and tasty.

Obsession of India was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I had South Indian Garlic Chilli King Prawn, the waiter advised me that they cooked the prawns 'meaty' (many restaurants serve them soft which is not to my taste). My husband had his favourite - Lamb Pathia. Both meals were delicious and the service was excellent. We will be back. Highly recommended :)

A superb meal and very friendly staff. We have eaten here before and again had a wonderful tasty meal. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and she was given a rendition of happy birthday by the staff and a chocolate cake desert with a candle. A lovely touch to finish our meal. Would highly recommend to all lovers of Indian food.

My wife and I booked a table hoping the place would be as good as it said here - it was even better! Both of us are vegetarian but it's no issue there as everything is labelled for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free if that's needed.
All of the food was extremely fresh down to the pakora, and the chasni sauce was the best sauce I have ever had in any type of restaurant. Everything was perfectly portioned so neither of us felt overfull or hungry afterwards. If you're looking for the best Indian then this is your place.
