Had a lovely lunch here with friends for my birthday. The chef catered for our dietary requirements and the lady (Polly) who served us was lovely. A big tasty starter of battered cauliflower meant I couldn't finish my fish tacos which, as always, were fab....Complementary margaritas were delicious and much appreciated. We used to come to this restaurant all the time and loved it however the past 2 times we have been we have been told cash only without being told at the time of booking and had to leave, we live on the other side...of the city and wasted time on travel,if you expect your clientele to pay cash, tell them beforehand, we won’t be backMore

So very sad to see the decline in this Restaurant !!! I used to go on a regular basis but since moving out of the city I haven’t been for some time and was very excited to return . I very rarely negatively review but...this was just particularly terrible . I had booked online and was informed by email that we had the table until 2030 from the get go it was very apparent that The waitress was clearly not interested and it became apparent that we were expected to eat and leave as soon as possible . The food was not very nice at all and the dessert was served on hot plates , when we asked for coffee we were informed that there was no milk ! Everything was extremely sloppy and was more like a fast food restaurant and the atmosphere was not comfortable at all . The final straw was when a couple arrived and the waitress told them loudly in front of us that this was there table and we would be going in two minutes !! This was at 1955 , we had expected to have the table for another 30 mins . Overall the experience was very unpleasant and I am sorry to say I will not be returning or recommended Bibis to anyone … very sad indeed .More

We travelled from Donegal Ireland to Glasgow for Daughter Molly's 18th. Just arrived and went straight with my family to Bibis for dinner. There were 13 of us Wilhare clan. A few others missing as saving themselves for the big 18th celebrations on Friday night....Staff members Elizabeth and Maisie were amazing, So attentive and patient to the large table of requests. Compliments also to the chef. The food was delicious. My sister Bridie booked it so many thanks as it was a perfect choice, particularly as my son Danny turned 30 also that week and he loves Mexican food. The staff made the celebrations a total success. This was one of the most awful places I have eaten at. The main reason was the attitude and sheer rudeness of the older waitress which made us all feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. When asking nicely to clarify certain things in the menu we were...spoken to like idiots and there is only so much sarcasm you can take from a person. Also when ordering certain things from the menu it almost felt as if she wanted me to change my mind and made what I wanted sound disgusting. I have never been spoken to in such a rude way constantly by a waitress ever and even when clearing up the tables she was so disrespectful when asking me to hand her the plates. To top it off the food was rubbish too. The cheese croquettes were just mashed potato in breadcrumbs and the fajitas came luke warm and tasteless. Drinks were warm and we had to ask for ice several times to cool them down. We will never be returning to this place, mainly because of the attitude and disrespect shown to paying customers by this older waitress.More

Booked v last minute for a late dinner and the staff were really great about it. Chef had turned everything off just before we arrived but made no fuss at all about us coming in and the food that arrived was absolutely spectacular. Meatball soup,...fish tacos for me, jalapeno rellenos and Coca-Cola beef tacos for my partner with a couple of margaritas. Could have eaten it all day. The service staff were really great, welcoming and helpful. Couldn't have done more for us. Love this place.More

Really bland tasteless food. Didn’t taste like Mexican at all. Starter quesadillas pale undercooked tortillas with melted cheese and jalapeños, no salsa no guacamole, but weirdly had rocket. cheese and jalapeño croquettes, tasted weird and sweet. Fish tacos bland and tasteless. Quesadillas bland plain rice,...no spice in enchiladas at all, tasted like canteen food or a ready meal. Worst Mexican I have been to, could have made better food myself. Also the chef constantly going outside the window to smoke and walking back and forward through the restaurant is very off putting. They really need to up their game if they want to compete with the many delicious restaurants in Partick. Wouldn’t go back.More

Based on previous reviews, we were really looking forward to visiting. Unfortunately we were really dissapointed. Food and margaritas were very bland, even served served completely undercooked chips. The service wasn't great either, and very loud inappropriate conversations were had by staff right by customers....The place itself is very cute, just really wish the food and service was significantly better. Not enjoyable -Booked a table for 6.15pm for a birthday celebration for our daughter. Received email confirmation for that time stating we would be required to give up the table at 8.15pm. This we understood as we had booked an early sitting. Arrived at 6pm...ahead of our daughter but table was ready and we were seated. Daughter arrived promptly at 6.15pm. Didn't order starters as we were looking forward to a main course and dessert. Service was slow but we didn't mind as we were catching up with our student daughter.At 7.20pm, just as we were finishing our mains, the woman managing the tables approached our table asking "When did it say you had the table til as I will need it back?" Unusual style of management I thought, and showed her the email confirming til 8.15pm as our allocated time. She managed the situation badly from that point onwards and instead of saying relax and enjoy the rest of your meal, she showed us her "system" which required the table back at 7.45pm.If service was efficient, we would have been able to enjoy desserts and be finished by then anyway. Daughter did choose a dessert and we were indeed finished by 7.45pm. However, the meal was spoiled by mismanagement of the situation. We won't be back because of this. We left and moved down the road to another restaurant where husband and I enjoyed desserts and we all had coffees in a much more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.More

What a lovely evening, the staff were excellent, so friendly and attentive, the food was also lovely. The restaurant was buzzing so the atmosphere was fab - tequila shots were a wee treat😄

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here today. The food was delicious, the service was lovely and the general surroundings and experience was homely with a touch of retro rustic. We will be back again.

Great food and good service. Fish tacos were amazing along with the frozen margaritas and lime cheese cake. Can’t wait to go back!
