A lovely little hidden cafe with a separate vegan menu and loads of options. The staff were very welcoming and super friendly with the kids, and the food was delicious and great portion sizes

Route 7 is a little hidden gem in Aviemore, why doesn't everyone know about it! I had followed them on Instagram for a while and noticed the amazing daily food updates, so had to get some of the action. We were up in the area...for a few days so made sure to have breakfast here at least once. It's located in the Highland Home Centre hidden at the bottom of an industrial estate but it really needs to invest in being in the town centre, it is simply amazing! The food is second to none, all cooked fresh with local ingredients and with a wide variety of breakfast, brunch & lunch items, it's hard to pick what to have. Route 7 is the best place for a bite to eat if you're in Aviemore, pricing isn't too bad and is well worth the slight detour, you won't regret it!More
What a hidden gem this place is! We had a fabulous breakfast in this quirky place which is at the end of an industrial estate! So cool inside and service and food was excellent! Definitely a hidden gem!
Excellent lunch this afternoon at Route 7. Fresh home made beef and chicken burgers. Lovely cakes and coffees to finish off a lovely lunch.
Stopped at this gem of a cafe on our way home this week, we were looking for somewhere with fresh food, so many restaurants in Aviemore are “pub grub” processed and fried. So when we saw the menu we thought perfect , and that it...was. We had chicken burgers and a kids meal with cakes to finish, couldn’t fault a think about the meal, or the service.. we will be backMore
We love this cafe so much. We always try to visit at least once during our stays locally. First time for breakfast, we had pancakes and a brew and it was brilliant and the staff are really nice and friendly. Would recommend booking a table...as it is easy to see it gill up due to the popularity. A must for sll who visit Aviemore. Cheers.More
The best! wonderful breakfast, at a reasonable price! literally the best we’ve ever had on our UK travels, took a little finding as we were in a camper van, but it was worth the effort, will definitely return.
Love Route 7 Cafe. Every year in October we come to Aviemore and never miss a visit to the cafe. Had pancakes again....... gorgeous. Couldn't recomment highly enough. See you next year.
Very difficult to find in an industrial estate In Aviemore Ok for a coffee Smoke filled with log burner fumes
Return here every year on our annual trip to Aviemore. Went for breakfast this time and didn’t disappoint. Good selection of breakfasts and good selection for kids to choose from too. Good friendly service, good portions, good quality. Give it a try, you won’t be...disappointed.More
Second time here and we weren't disappointed. Very nice home-made soup. Value for money compared with the rest of Aviemore.
Great service. Excellent food Long walk to get there but we’ll worth the effort Would definitely go again. Be hungry as portions very filling
I had the breakfast feast, very tasty. Coffee was very nice. Lovely building and set up. Friendly staff
I will start with the positives. Nice atmosphere, dog friendly and good family venue. Onto the food daughter had Cullen skink, no issues with that. Son and myself had baked potatoes with tuna. It was well presented on the plate and a nice salad to...accompany but the potatoes were solid in the middle. We raised the point with staff but advised we could not wait for a replacement as we had no time, a booking to attend and we had our dog. That was fine they apologised and advised they would let the kitchen know and we ate what we could but left the hard potato. When I approached to pay I was advised to pay full price, which was £27 with the waitress advising ‘well you ate it did ye?’ A somewhat diabolical response to a customer who just received raw food. Not to cause a scene with my kids there and being on holiday I paid reluctantly and left. I then took the time once I returned home to share the experience with the cafe by email which was not even acknowledged. Pretty disappointing !!More
Arrived 3pm for afternoon tea. Doesn't close till 4pm, but we felt very much we were 'in the way' and it was all very rushed; staff cleaning up around us. Tea served in very slap dash manner. A different experience from other times we've visited....Will think twice before returning againMore
