The Old Bridge Inn charms many with its cozy ambiance, romantic interior, and live music, creating a welcoming environment that reviewers consistently applaud. While the food receives a mixed response, with some guests enjoying standout dishes and others encountering undercooked or tasteless fare, the value proposition also divides opinion; some commend the quality and portion sizes, but others find the prices steep for the experience offered. Additionally, the service garners polarizing feedback, with the staff's friendliness being as frequently mentioned as instances of rudeness or neglect.

Due to the superb location, accommodation and walking distance from the train station you must pay the team here a visit. Very popular, sometimes restaurant tables need to be well booked in advance, great food and service was excellent. Lovely log fire and large selection of drinks. Definitely be back here again when next in town!

We were in Aviemore for the weekend with our dog. We had booked ahead for the 1st night to have dinner at the Old Bridge Inn on a recommendation at the guest house w were staying at. We were not disappointed, guests with dogs are welcome to sit in the bar area which has lovely tables, a cosy log burner and a great atmosphere! The drinks menu is extensive packed full of familiar favourites to local gems. Service is genuine and easy. The food was wonderful, vegetarians are well catered for too and everything was cooked to perfection. We had intended to eat somewhere different the next day but after a long snowy walk we popped into the OBI, the fire was roaring & a table was found for us: lunch was as good as dinner! On the final day we had booked for Sunday Lunch but after an unreliable bus timetable we ended up changing that to Dinner. I'd have really liked to try the Sunday Roast [only available at lunchtime] but dinner was yet again a wonderful experience and the perfect end to our trip. The Old Bridge Inn is a local for locals and visitors alike, every one is made to feel welcome & we would definitely return.

We visited Aviemore for the weekend with our dog. This great, traditional pub has a separate section for dogs with a lovely cosy wood burner. The service was friendly, food was top drawer and they have a super selection of local beer, gin and whisky. We did lunch and dinner at the Old Bridge and it was consistently excellent. Highly recommend.

Overpriced with a weird menu and very average customer service for what you pay. We had 2 sirloin steak of 8oz for £25 each and a cheese board. We constantly had to try to catch the attention of the waiters and they forgot our cheese board which it took over 30 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it, although there is not many other places for food around.

Have eaten here many times, usually dinner but came for lunch yesterday. No heating was working, restaurant was absolutely freezing. There seemed to be a total lack of staff as it took ages to get menus, drinks and order food and then get food. Two of us had cod, what a disaster! Tiny portion, over cooked and very unappetising. When we told the waitress what we thought she said she would tell the kitchen. Frankly we should have sent them back at the start. When we paid the bill no mention was made of the appalling main courses. Usually the food here is excellent. If you are short staffed or lacking in produce because of the time of year or even have no heating - DON’T OPEN. lunch was nearly £100.00 and what we got was certainly not worth that.

My family booked a table for a special birthday meal. I can't see what the hype and high prices are about. The service was entry level whilst prices for basic food was off the scale. We had very little comunication from the waitress then when questioned about the food we were basically told tuff luck! Went from a great birthday to a dissapointed family get together. We won't be back.

Our family eat here last friday (table for 14) and we were initially looking forward to it as the menu had 6 choices but good choices. The setting itself is very nice and it was a good atmosphere. The prices are quite good compared to other placed in Aviemore although the burger was £10, you need to add chips for £2 so the initial price is a little misleading. The burrito tasty very nice although the refried beans were very salty. We eat all of the food but dissapointingly we were not checked back on to see if everything was ok and at the end we were hit with a service charge on the bill. At no point were we informed this would be billed to us when we booked it or when we arrived. If we had been pre warned we would have accepted it. It is also not stated on the menu or the website. The beer garden is great especially if you have kids, dogs or for a pit stop after a cycle / walk. We will be back but pre warn your sustomers your going to do this guys!

We have been here a few times over the years. Our dinner tonight was very poor. Undercooked and very overpriced meals. Had to send one dish back twice and still wasn’t great. Feels like the kitchen don’t have any pride in the dishes they send out. Service was painfully slow-had to ask for menus/every course order to be placed/drinks order to be taken. Really disappointed as the setting is lovely.

Big disappointment. 2 out of 5 meals were ok and they were burgers. The tarts were burned to a crisp. Really poor (taken off the bill but diners left hungry). Dry rock hard breaded chicken. Mistakes happen but the service was cold and brash. The menu is a strange one. Check it out before you go. Even after booking weeks in advance for a table in the restaurant we were shown outside to a cabin across the road then finally taken to the pub. They’re very popular and busy but this was the worst meal (food and service) we’ve had all summer touring Scotland. Not cheap either. Shame really.

We went and booked here for our tea and this place was recommended by a friend who ive jokingly offered to slap when I see him. We are far from being snobs or fusspots, just an ordinary working cpl who are visiting for 4 days as we norm do, the waitress was helpful and provided us with a nice table that we booked..thats where it ends, the menu did show starters, but the main menu was awful with 4 choices, 2 vg which I have not heard of apart from tofu, the other 2 where burger on toasted brioche buns with chips and salad, £15 each and steak etc £25, so hence it was the burgers, yeh it was not bad, but if im being honest they need to offer more variety of main meals to give ppl choices and a tadge pricy for what u get. And they really need to sort the social distancing also. Would I return, well until.more.option on main meals to cater for everyone then it will be a no to eating there again

We ate here as a party of 6 when on holiday in August and the food and service was great. Covid control measures were implemented throughout and it felt like a really safe environment. I had the veggie burrito which was great and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend.

Fantastic lunch today at the Old Bridge. There were 8 of us, plus 2 dogs and we had pre-booked a table in the bar area. Social distancing is in place with clear paths to/from the bar, hand sanitizer is available and tables were well spaced. Food was the usual high standard with the amazing OBI Burger, both the Chicken and Vegi Burritos and Huevos Rancheros being big hits. Service was outstanding too. Our server couldn't do enough to help, including giving my niece a taster portion of the (delicious) Thai butternut squash soup to try and providing her with a fruit salad which wasn't on the menu. Already booked for dinner on Thursday and breakfast on Saturday morning. Can't wait to return. Highly recommended, although booking is essential as they are very busy.

First visit- poor social distancing with regards to table spacing, greeted on arrival by an unwelcoming waitress who showed us to a table for two which was squished into a corner but still too close to the next table. We politely asked to be moved to another table which we were however the waitress made this obvious she was not happy. Apart from that the food we ordered was very nice although the menu choice was very limited. (The two other waitresses were lovely).

There is no meaningful social distancing in the main eating area. Service is below average ( 3 different people over two courses) and purely functional I ,minimal interaction. . Starters were fine but both mains ( Kimchi rice and Thai noodle salad) were poor. The Thai was super chilled with no detectable peanut flavouring, the Kimchi contained *one* strand of cabbage and was very salty. The server was indifferent when we mentioned the Arctic salad. It used to be a better eatery. We won’t be returning.

We thought the food was really good here, I got the lamb and it was so tender; the flatbread was also freshly baked I think. My partner got the beef burger which he really enjoyed it too and the Triple cooked chips were also unbelievable! Also recommend the puddings so make sure you leave some space for them. All the food that was getting brought out looked really good and I will defo be back to try more dishes on the menu. It had a great wee vibe too, staff seem really upbeat and happy to be there!! There was music was playing inside and it had a nice interior. There was a good atmosphere outside in the beer garden and looked like there was loads of space for kids to run about and play so would be suitable for families too.
