Noticed this bakery as I passed it one day. But on my last day and driving to the Isle of Skye I pulled in as I’d been looking since I arrived in Scotland on the start of our holidays for a Scottish Snowball (cake version)...and OMG I wasn’t disappointed there they were with my name on them. I immediately bought 2 for myself hubby doesn’t like them. I ate the first one at lunchtime and OMG it was fantastic so beautiful tasting and fresh. The lady in the shop did say the other will keep for approximately 3 days just in the paper bag, but it certainly won’t be around that long :-))))More

Great products, I buy oatcakes and morning rolls daily but what about the packaging? Can it be more environmental friendly in this day and age?

It’s a good job we found the bakery on the penultimate day of our holidays so that we only had 2 days for repeat visits. My kids haven’t stopped talking about it, I haven’t stopped thinking about the marzipan apples. We’ll probably come on holiday...to Inverness again just for Harry Gow’s. Such a delicious bakery.More

We buy regularly from Harry Gow, especially the Fairways outlet. The products are so good we keep going back even when the products are rarely available and To make matter worse, the bad news about product availability is delivered by staff with the customer service...stills of Prison Guards. Please do not consider todays complaint as unusual, it is unusual to get good service and a smile in any Harry Gow Bakery in Inverness. Todays Situation: 1:05pm and I asked for a Chicken Salad Roll and Soup. Advised no Soup (again) and that I had to pick one of the premade Rolls although it means having to pick out the cucumber that I detest. I met a friend who was in the queue on the way out and she advised she experiences similarly shoddy customer service. Today was just the cucumber slice with no soup to wash it down that broke the back of my tolerance. This has been going on for years, I see many reviews saying the same thing, i know many people with similar experiences. Great products. Poor Service & Availability. Customer service and politeness are the easy bit, The kids in MacDonald's manage it, they just don't have the delicious products.More

We were on holiday on Skye and regularly bought Harry Gow products from the Co-Op in Portree - they were amazing and now we are home we are missing them The meringues in particular were first class - I always miss Skye when I come...home but now I have the added disappointment of missing my Harry Gow's fix :( I looked to see where the nearest supplier to me is but as it is about a 4 hour drive (one way) I guess I will have to wait until next years visit to Skye before I can indulge again - Harry Gow's, your products are fabulous :)More

After stumbling across Dream Rings on an annual visit to Scotland in 2016, I have become slightly obsessed with them and made it my mission to get my hands on them when returning every year. After missing out on our holiday in 2020 due to...COVID, I couldn’t wait to return in 2021 to get my fix! Was slightly disappointed that the local co-op wasn’t stocking them, so took a drive to Harry Gow in Inverness and it was well worth the trip! Big thank you to the lovely ladies in The Fairway for putting 12 aside for me to collect. I shall be retuning next year ❤️More

I always buy my cakes from here for any special occasions. I love the individual carrot cakes and the snowballs. Wish they would bring back the chocolate snowball.

My and my sister in law decided to visit the North Kessock bakery on our way to the beach. Before I have placed the order I have asked one of the ladies who was willing to serve us if they have anything dairy free and...egg free because my daughter is allergic. I can’t have any either as I am still breastfeeding her. She checked the folder and she said that all of the pastry contains eggs and milk. Which was a bit dissappointing because I was hoping to eat something. My sister in law ordered a roll with something so I have asked if it possible to make a roll dairy free and egg free. She said that it is.. that we could have the chicken or salad with it so I have ordered one with only salad in it. I have even asked if the roll is dairy free and egg free and I was reassured that it is. I was asked to wait outside for the order. I have collected the order and while we were on the way to the beach my daughter started eating the sandwich but then I had the feeling to check the way how it looks like and I have discovered that there was a butter inside. You cannot even imagine how shocked and terrified I was when I found this there. I have called the store to ask them if they butter is dairy free but it wasn’t!!! Few minutes after consuming the roll my daughter ended up in hives, swelling up etc. Instead of having a nice time at the beach I have had a crying and distressed daughter which was scratching herself really badly and being very unsettled. Luckilly, I have had her medication with me. This place should be glad that my daughter allergy is not severe so its not anaphylaxis which could be a life threatening and could cause death. I think that some people don’t realise how serious the alergies are and how serious they should take someone elses order. If they are not sure, they should ask for the manager to help them out or just tell the customer that they dont feel safe to sell any of the food which is in the restaurant.. It is much better than having someone with an allergic reaction. Definitely, I dont feel safe to buy anything else from Harry Gow and don’t think that I will be buying anything ever again. I am really dissappointed especially because it was my first proper visit. I am really hoping that this kind of situation will never happen again and if it will that it won’t be deadly.More
