Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really enjoyed our meals here. Had a sharer for 2 to start. Everything was lovely ( could probably leave the onion rings off though, they didn’t really fit in, but I ate them anyway 🤣) We had the best sellers for mains, jerk chicken and...curried goat. Both plentiful and great tasting. Good kick from the jerk which we both thought was the puck of the two. Had different rum punches to drink, both good. Would recommend for a chilled out evening.More

Initially found with place in 2017 but unfortunately didn't go in. I always vowed the next time I was in Inverness I would go in for something to eat and it did not disappoint. Fast service and amazing cocktails topped off with 2 fantastic meals....It was definitely worth the 7 year wait and we will 100% be back and will reccommed it to anyone who will listen.More

Friendly relaxed atmosphere, great tunes and the food is nothing short of incredible. That was the best Jerk Chicken I’ve ever eaten. Succulent, flavourful and delicious. Goat Curry with rice and peas was fantastic. The Jamaican Sunshine punch also went down very well - and...the barman wrote out the recipe when I asked. What a find - I’ll be back. Jah Mon!!More

Amazing food. I ordered Mama’s Sunday lunch which was a mix of fried chicken, chicken curry and jerk chicken. It took satisfyingly long to come because I think everything was freshly cooked. So delicious and really satisfying. Can’t recommend highly enough

First class service and food, I wasn’t sure as I’ve never eaten in a Jamaican restaurant but the menu had something for everyone - host curry for me served with rice and beans. Excellent value for money and enjoyed the ambience too - great reggae...too - highly recommend this place - I’ll be backMore

We were wandering around for a restaurant and decided to pop in randomly. We're so happy we did. The food is out of this world and on the table less than 10 minutes from ordering. The owner was extremely helpful and was very friendly

I almost missed out on this gem, during my trip to Inverness, because of a few negative reviews I read. Please don’t let them deter you. My experience was fabulous - the service was prompt and friendly, the food was tasty and well seasoned (not...too salty, balanced and authentic), with big portions (I had to unbutton my jeans 😂). I had the oxtail while my partner had the escovitch fish. The atmosphere and music was on point from the lighting to the old school reggae music! My only criticism is that the food could be spicer, but my family are from Jamaica and I realise the food needs to cater to local palates 😉. 4.5/5, this place should be full, so please give it a try, even if you are vaguely curious ☀️More

I noticed 'curried goat' on the menu outside this place and decided to give it a go. I did not regret this. Said goat was served with rice and beans and a salad. It was wonderful. The meat was tender and flavorsome and perfectly spiced...giving just the right amount of heat and lovely aftertaste. To drink I had a bottle of Cairngorm brewery's Sheepshagger blonde ale which went well. The music and bright paintwork gave as much of a Caribbean feel as you can expect on a damp evening in Inverness and I couldn't fault the service. This is now my number one go to restaurant north of St Andrews.More

If you love Jamaican food and reggae music this is probably the best place in Scotland to come ! I had red snapper and my wife had jerk chicken, two typical Jamaican dishes and they were fabulous. Everything about this place reminds me of why...I love Jamaica so muchMore

I appreciate this isn’t a “fast food” restaurant, but they’re taking the mickey. After taking our seat, it took over 20 minutes before they took our order and then almost another hour for it to arrive. And when it did, it was disappointing. Pizza was...burnt to a crisp (barely edible). The jerk chicken was nice, very flavoursome, but it had NO heat (spice) to it at all – definitely shouldn’t be described as “jerk”.More

Called in for a cocktail one afternoon last week. Service took absolutely ages even though there were only another couple in. I chose a coconut cream which was meant to have rum in it. Once it finally arrived, I honestly don’t think it had any...alcohol in it. It tasted of coconut water only. The couple at the other table had food which looked unappealing and they left most of it! Won’t be back!More

Living nearby, I've passed this place many times, noticed it's always full when passing, yet never actually been in to eat until visiting friends insisted we went. And it was magnificent! It's certainly not polished or fancy looking, but a laid back, friendly atmosphere with...plenty food that may take you outside your comfort zone (but with a good few 'safer options' if you're a picky eater. The famous curried goat is absolutely incredible though, highly recommended! Very relaxed evening, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us (although there was a single diner a few tables down that asked for his meal quickly and they accommodated his request).More
