Very disappointing.... have wanted to go here for ages and finally made it. Food served very average, chips rock solid, ? poorly cooked venison steak followed by really bad tummy. Won't be back.

Stopped in to this pub for dinner during our visit to Inverness. Lovely old pub with a good mix of locals and tourists. Food was good - I even tried the Haggis, tatties & neeps on the waitress' suggestion and they were excellent! Nice selection of beer and wine. Good service. I'd definitely go back.

Cosy pub with a beer garden. Has the usual stuff plus a selection of real ales, mainly from Highland based breweries. Lovely setting at the top of Castle Terrace opposite the castle, overlooking the river.

The Castle Tavern was a great place for dinner. The waitress we had was very talkative and we all had great conversation. The fish and chips were the best out of the 4 countries we visited in Europe!

Sat outside at the picnic tables. Kind of cozy, as we had another couple share our table as seating was at a premium. Great fun, food was very good, beer was good too! A very nice area and good views from the outdoor area.

We came to the Castle Tavern twice. It was recommended by our B&B host and within walking distance from our lodging. We came in the evening and it was difficult to get a seat...the tavern is quite popular with a lively, good-natured crowd. Families could be seen at the tables outside. We got a small table inside. The ale was... More

We asked for 3 fish and chips and a beef burguer. The food was nice and the service is very good. The total was £49.40

Visited here on 17th December with my boyfriend for lunch. Small but nice atmosphere. Staff were nice. We split a sharing dish for our starter which came with battered haddock pieces, onion rings, sweet potato fries, fried garlic mushrooms and salad. Was decent but probably wouldn't have this again. I ordered macaroni for my main which came with salad and... More
