Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband loves Indian food, me slightly less so, but on holiday so we were eating out more than usual. I like a Thali, with some variation of tastes. This one was excellent. A good selection of tastes and good value. My husband very much...enjoyed his much hotter king prawn curry! Would recommend.More

Beautiful surroundings, clear and precise menu which offers beautiful food ....but there is an elephant in the room,or should I say two of them. The older gentleman and a younger floater are seriously intrusive and intimidating in the way they appear to glide around the dining room...and almost interrogate you.More

Fantastic friendly and helpful staff, food was amazing, definitely one the best curries we’ve had. We’re not a local couple, however if we was to return here we would definitely visit again - highly recommended.

The restaurant has a BYOB policy which was explained to us on entry, Corkage is £2 per person. They do serve alcohol free lager and a range of mocktails which are definitely worth trying. We both had the mixed tandoori starter, which was a good...sized portion and set us up for the main event. We stuck with the classics, a chicken balti and a chicken rogan josh, with Pilau rice and a garlic nan. Both were delicious, flavoursome and just the right balance of spices. Went home full and happy.More

Ken and Sharon from Taxi 24/7 Nairn were highly complimentary of Mangrove and we all decided to make a night of it together for dinner. We were met promptly at the door and shown to a nice intimate table that allowed for some good conversation...and menu review. There is a large menu selection of many Indian/Asian favourites and we ordered a selection that fit our varied tastes. The food was fresh and well seasoned with very interesting flavours. It is hard to do it any justice in a review like this, but do try to enjoy a visit to Mangrove. You will be very happy you did.More

Fantastic food. I had the non-alcoholic lychee mojito - very yummy - and Mixed Platter Thali for one. Every dish was excellent, great range of flavours, tender meat, some spice but not enough to obscure the marvellous delicate and unique flavours. The rice so good...with lovely hints of coriander. The naan bread was very good too. I couldn't finish it, though I did want to! Staff were lovely.More

This is a fantastic restaurant. We were really pleased to have been recommended it. Food is great - I had the Kerala King Prawns which were excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff. The chef really has to be commended for the quality of the dishes....Definitely be back next time we're in Inverness.More

A lovely restaurant with great choice and lovely food. We enjoyed a pre- train ride meal on a Monday. It was easy to get a table and the service was efficient but not obtrusive. The chicken chilli korma and the lamb madras were very tasty...and not too hot. The restaurant has a bring your own alcohol policy and we were informed this as soon as we entered. We went next door and picked up a couple of beers to have with our meal. Overall a restaurant with excellent food, service and decor.More

Stopped here for dinner on our trip to Inverness. Had read good reviews in TripAdvisor and we had great expectations about the food. Chappatis were not freshly made, they were the reheated ready made ones you get from the store ! The madras sauce had...little flavour. The korma was quite sweet but the kids liked it. Overall we were quite disappointed with the food. The ambience was good and staff polite, but wouldnt recommend to go for the food.More
