About
Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food, cocktails, and service were all on point. If you find yourself in Inverness, make a reservation and eat here! We tried everything from carpaccio to scallops, and not a single dish skipped a beat. Scallops were best in show. The food and the atmosphere...were lively and bright. A shout out to the staff who provided us with attentive (but not suffocating) service. Everyone was so lovely. If I lived in Inverness, I would eat at this stylish spot on the regular. We spent more than a week in Scotland and this was one of our best meals—-easily in the top 3. (Do not confuse this restaurant with the Rocpool Reserve hotel).More

The reviews were very good, but based on the menu alone, I didn't have great expectations, but they were clearly exceeded. Classic haute cuisine with very good, fresh scottish ingredients, excellent service and a really exceptionally good wine list - big, big compliments to the...Sommeliére from South Africa. It's not surprising that Rocpool was more than full on a Thursday evening. Make sure you make a reservation!More

Our group of six adults had made reservations for dinner after our Speyside Tour. The food was well one of the best meals that we had in Inverness during our stay. Staff was attentive and efficient and the deserts that we all chose were yummy!...Highly recommend a visit.More

Walked in with no reservations and soaking from the rain. Treated with such friendliness, warmth, and professionalism from start to finish. Shared an appetizer of beef carpaccio, which was next level delicious. Followed with mains of oriental salad and a linguine with various types of...seafood. Flavourful, beautifully presented, and good portion sizes. Never felt rushed. Sad that I didn't get to partake in dessert but they looked great. Highly recommended for the service, ambiance, and, of course, the food.More

The Rocpool fancies itself as an upmarket restaurant & the prices certainly reflect that. However, if you are prepared to pay a little bit above the average restaurant prices then you will be treated to some of the best food you will find in Inverness....Our dishes were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. This was without doubt the best food we had during our one week stay in Scotland. Some of the furniture/flower arrangements in the restaurant seemed a little dated but when you experience food this good then who really cares about the decor! I would strongly recommend this restaurant but I would also advise reserving a table in advance because it also seems to be extremely popular.More

Visited Inverness for a day out, and after checking online, i decided to book Rocpool for lunch. It’s a good job, not only this restaurant but a lot of places were busy and quickly filled up. We ordered from the 2 course fixed price menu,...my partner is veggie, there really was only one option for him, this was no problem as the food was delicious. I genuinely can’t fault anything - we ate at 12pm, i didn’t eat another thing for the rest of the day, the food was wonderful and the portion sizes were deceptively big (we did get a dessert to share as well). it’s not inexpensive, but i feel we got great value for money and the staff were very friendly. Great wine list as well - i will absolutely go back.More

Definitely worth a visit especially given the quality of the food. I’d go back again if only for the harissa infused sweet potato soup—a true stand out. Reasonably priced given the quality of the food, service and location. A busy place so plan ahead; a...bit cramped.More

Hi, there are a few spaces along the street from the restaurant, which is pay and display up until 6pm presumably? There is also a small Tesco's nearby which has a car park you can park for free for up to 2 hours.

If you check their online table booking facility, it looks like the restaurant is closed from 31 Dec to 03 Jan, incl. (i.e. re-opens 4th Jan).
