During a recent stay in Inverness we had the pleasure of dining in this fantastic little gastropub. The servers were so friendly and looked after us really well. The food was probably the best we had on our entire trip through all of Scotland. There are a lot of restaurants in Inverness that seem to be at a pretty high... More

Again, a reservation was required (which we didn't have), but we were accommodated in the bar area. The service was quick the rump roast with portobello mushroom & potato special I had was so, so. The meal was swimming in oil & gravy. My husband had a large order of Fish & Chips. He enjoyed the generous 3 pieces of... More

Went on the recommendation of our B&B. Great choice. She gave us a coupon for two free whiskies. My wife had a Cajun chicken penne and I had the slow roasted lamb rump. Both were very good. I had a great Australian Shiraz. The small sticky toffee sundae was huge and delicious. Good attentive service.

My partner and I went to Number 27 for dinner as it had good reviews on TripAdvisor; now we understand why! The restaurant was quite busy, but luckily we had booked in advance, and I would highly recommend so. The staff were really friendly and gave us good recommendations. In the end, we decided to have the Kind prawns and... More

My cousin had already eaten here and suggested a return visit for dinner on a Friday. Great choice! I had the most amazing lamb dish in this nicely renovated pub style restaurant/bar. The dining room was full so best to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Luckily, there was a window table available in the bar.

Last April I gave Number 27 five stars, and it was totally warranted. The menu was interesting and had lots of choices, the specials were great, the staff friendly, efficient and extraordinarily well mannered. And the food was amazing. This time we were disappointed in just about everything. The staff were completely apathetic, the fish and chips not even as... More
