As usual the service was swift and pleasant. The food is good and plentiful. It's a nice old fashioned place. If you're in a hurry you can be in, fed, and out again well within half an hour.

Great place to go for bite to eat. Central location. Good home cooking. No nonsense! Family friendly and quick service.

A hungry mans place. Big platefuls of all time favourites. Just honest food. Ask any local you know, or find someone who knows a local.

Ever since I moved to Inverness and came across it, the Castle Restaurant is one of my main places to grab a bite. The service is good and the food very good, like you mum used to make. Never had a bad meal yet. Think I might go again today.

We ate here on a Saturday evening about 5pm. The visual aspect of the Castle Restaurant isn't that modern. It's more like a bus station cafe. However the food is really nice. We had one steak pie with chips and one lamb steak with mashed potatoes. The only small complaint was that the lamb meal was dry. It would have... More

I remember eating at this place as a kid (I'm 36 now) and the food is still as delicious as it was back then. It is the kind of place that serves hearty, slightly fattening food that is delicious at every time of the year. Trust me, the food is a real treat! If you can, order the macaroni cheese... More

This busy old town located eatery offers good service and represents good value. The waitress was pleasant and efficient. All of the food we ordered was beautifully cooked piping hot and well presented. It is in this day and age an oasis of refreshment to dine in an establishment that jealously guards home cooking at its heart. WARNING:WE WILL BE BACK!!!

My partner took me to this restaurant as he has been before and really liked it. It is in a lovely situation, directly across from the castle. The dining area is very small but cosy and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious, we both had rib eye steak and it was cooked very well. If it... More
