Good pub food, a friendly and courteous server, and a table with a view of the street made for a nice evening meal.

The Grog and Gruel is a comfortable pub with a good selection of food and beverages. My personal favourite is their vegetarian haggis.

We had supper here and it was fabulous! Portions were hearty and the service was friendly. Would recommend the Cranachan for dessert--outstanding!

Excellent service and very adequate food and grog (good value). Nice selection of beers, basic but hearty / cost effective menu. Children / families welcomed.

Dogs are allowed in the pub downstairs. There's a restaurant upstairs too but no dogs permitted up there :)
