We visited on New Year's Day and were warmly welcomed, the staff quickly seating us and offering drinks. Food is tasty with large portions and interesting options, I had the wild boar and haggis burger which was very good. Prices are reasonable and a nice varied choice of beers including local stuff. Staff were great.

After eating here i Jan 16 for a couple of nights I thought I'd come back again and wasn't dissapointed. Over two nights I had the Wild Boar Burger and Venison Burger, Black pudding was had for a starter on the second visit. Both came out in about 20 mins freshly prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. Makes a real nice change... More

Got a nice seat upstairs in the restaurant area on Tuesday night. The staff members upstairs were pleasant and efficient. I had a pizza which was tasty, hot and fresh. My partner had enchiladas which was a good sized portion and also tasty. We thought the enchiladas required a few wraps on the bottom along with one on the top.... More

Despite being mad busy we were greeted with a smile and a table was quickly cleared for our food We ordered pies and these came pretty quickly but mine was not hot enough. However, this was rectified and we were immediately offered a free replacement and this was done without us asking. The young staff were kept really busy as... More

Haggis rules! Or at least the vegetarian version does at this quaint little pub with the great name. Known more for their whiskies, we went for the food. The pizza was light, if non descript, but the haggis - vegetarian style - was really enjoyed. It took us a bit to figure out what the oatcakes were, and the haggis... More

We came here and both ordered the chilli dogs as we were starving. To our surprise the hot dogs weren't processed nasty sausages but proper sausage topped with a delicious homemade chilli using a wonderful quality of mince. We shared a dessert of the ice cream which was really lovely and a new flavor to us. The only thing that... More

We stopped in after a cold morning of clay shooting. The inside is warm and cozy and the staff was very nice. We had the Angus Burger and it was so delicious. Great atmosphere.

This is a nice small pub, downstairs is the pub and you can get pub food and the restaurant is upstairs. The menu has lots of choice and is reasonably priced. The staff are nice and friendly

This pub has the usual array of Scottish pub food, and it was fine but nothing special and overpriced. I had the venison burger which was nice but could have done with a bit more salad in it! One other member of our party had steak, which was quite tough and disappointing. The staff were very friendly and helpful though,... More
