Friendly staff, well looked after and great to see the chef at the table with the food. Enough choice for everyone. Quality scran. Would recommend (and call and book a table as it can get busy).

There used to be a few vegan options on the menu for lunchtime, but today my only option was to have the veggie breakfast without eggs. This was tasty but there used to be a vegan wrap that was delicious or the option of avocado...on toast, which I love, but apparently they no longer offer avocado anymore. Their wasn’t a vegan soup option either. Really disappointing as I live nearby.More
We had eten here before but it was quite awhile ago. Visited twice on same day for lunch and then dinner with friends. Very friendly staff, delicious food, definately recommend Cullen skenk. Taylor was very helpful. Will definately visit again when in the area.
Great selection of sandwiches & cakes - fresh & delicious. Service was great. Been for afternoon tea twice in the past few weeks and will definately book again.
Thankyou for your lovely feedback Yvonne. We're glad you enjoyed your afternoon tea.
What a fantastic venue to hold a music/rock venues, the old church is thriving with music upstairs and meals down stairs, the only minor complaint is.....not enough room to have everyone in the same room, the bar is too small and cramped and trying to pay...for your meal takes a little longer than expected, but the meals are value for money and very tasty. The service is friendly and attentive, would definitely recommend the Albany, and shall be back soon..More
Thankyou for your lovely review Lisa. We hope to welcome you again soon.
We visited for lunch and were warmly greeted by Angela. This was my second visit to this restaurant and I was just as delighted with the the food and service provided this time. There is really good ambience here and it is a very pleasant...and relaxing place to be. Thanks to Angela and Taylor for their friendly and attentive service which made this a really good experience for us. This restaurant has our highest recommendation. We’ll be back soon.More
Was a terrible experience. Everything wrong . Would mot recommend. We waited over 30 minutes after starter to main course even though the table next to us had starter after us but then was served main course. Gammon was like tinned and Christmas pudding was...not like real Xmas pudding. Over all not a good dinner so won't be back.More
Family celebration in this restaurant. Food took a long time to be served. Several dinners cold .When returned gave someone else's to a different person. Meat on Ciabbata grey in colour. Had to ask for water for tables. Forks and napkins. Has never improved here.
We visited today with 20 family members all had a variety of main courses. All were served timely and hot. Staff very attentive and we will be returning. Family wonderful evening.
This place os beautiful and hidden. The food was excellent and so where the staff. We will be back again
My friend booked this establishment for a party of six for last Thursday 2nd June, especially requesting a a table against the wall, purely because one of the party has back problems and against a wall gives her better support. She was assured that such...a table would be reserved. On arrival at the restaurant we were shown to a table in the middle of the floor. My friend spoke to waitress and explained this was not the table booked, she apologised and said they were awaiting a party of sixteen and the seats requested had been allocated to them. When the aforementioned guest with the back problem arrived she was most uncomfortable and we again requested a move. This time we spoke with a lady who appeared to be in charge, her attitude was of complete indifference, more or less like it or lump it. When the said party of sixteen duly arrived, we appeared to pale into insignificance. All hands were on deck for the larger party, and we did in fact wait for 15 minutes to place our sweet order, and another ten to have it served. The food was average but well presented and the two young waitresses very helpful and pleasant. I cannot speak for the rest of the party, but I will never return, to somewhere that makes you feel insignificant.More
Shocking service. Waited 10 minutes, had to ask for a menu, no offer of drinks, ordered food, my companion was served their main meal & desert at the same time, I waited 5 more minutes for my main, never got cutlery, had to ask for...it, no offer of condiments, plate had chip out of it, disgusting! Food was nice.More
The high tea was wonderful . the staff were lovely and very attentive definitely worth a visit if you fancy a wee time out
I booked a birthday treat for my daughter and grandson at the Albany because of the great reviews for the Afternoon Tea and the promise of a Vegan- Friendly menu. Two were to have Afternoon Tea and I the would choose from the lunch menu....We started with teas and coffee but were told that there were no alternative milks available. These are on every supermarket shelf! There was I single vegan option on the lunch menu, a peppers and coleslaw wrap with salad. I was informed that there was no vegan coleslaw available so I went ahead with a pepper wrap with salad. It was no more than adequate. 40 minutes after I was served with my lunch my daughter had to ask where the Afternoon Teas were. They had been forgotten. When they arrived, with apologies, they were unremarkable. I have had Afternoon Teas in several restaurants and this was easily the poorest. The staff were lovely but no discount was offered. A most disappointing experience all round. We will not return.More

We attended here for an event in January and the staff were attentive and supportive. The venue is well located and easy to access and the prices are reasonable too. The function room is big enough for the events and I would recommend The Albany...for events.More
